The Republic of Pragmadorea, more commonly known as Pragmadorea, is a micronation which is an enclave within Nebraska, United States. It declared independence from the United States on 27 September 2024 by order of President Henna Nichols who founded the country. As of the present, it has no subdivisions due to its small size.

The government is split between three branches that each have checks and balances meant to ensure fairness. The executive branch consists of the president alone, while the legislative branch consists of the 5 person Parliament and the judicial branch consists of the 3 person National Court. While from a distance it resembles the system that the United States uses, it is fundamentally different in many ways.

At the moment, it has little to no relations with other micronations and has not publicly announced its recognition of any micronations.

Etymology

The name "Pragmadorea" comes from the Greek, derived from the words pragmatika, meaning "truthfully" in English and dorean, in English meaning "free". Put together, the name roughly translates to mean "truly free".

History

Pragmadorea was founded on 27 September 2024 after gaining independence from the United States of America. Its founder created the nation due to her unease with the current state of American politics and how much discrimination made its way into legislature. Pragmadorea was thus created as a haven for people of all sorts who could be themselves without fear of being treated differently or being restricted by the government.

Government and politics

President

The President of the Republic of Pragmadorea (aka POROP) has absolute power on all issues due to being the only member of the government (though this is subject to change as the population increases). The incumbent president is Henna Nichols, who took office on 27 September 2024.

Foreign relations

Pragmadorea currently has no known foreign relations.

Geography and climate

The weather in Pragmadorea often varies wildly due to its location in the American midwest. It has cold winters and hot summers, and often experiences severe weather such as tornadoes and thunderstorms in the late spring and early summer months.
