The Kingdom of Nickonia is a micronation with a territory not yet well defined and with a constitution and codes of laws still in progress; precisely for this reason it has not yet undertaken a path of diplomacy and knowledge towards other nations.

Etymology

The kingdom of Nickonia is so called because of the first king's nickname: Nick1909_NK; this will then transformed into PinguinoNick. From the creator's nickname also derives "nickios", the name of the currency used in the kingdom.

History

The story of this state begins in the mind of its creator when he was about seven years old; and is still in continuous development today! The political order, which at the time was absolute monarchy, slowly took on an increasingly democratic side, until it became what we see today; consequently this also saw the change of laws and government in everyway.

Politics and government

The Kingdom of Nickonia is an elective presidential semi-constitutional monarchy. The king holds the task of forming the parliament, called the Court of Footmen, and is head of the judiciary and government. The king is seen as a real president of the federation, even if at this moment it should be defined as a single state given the presence of only one government.

First government

At the beginning the state had an absolute monarchy as its political order, therefore all powers were destined to be in the hands of the king; the constitution had at most 15 articles and there were not many people. However , the king preferred to change the political order to feel more legitimized and provide more democracy to the citizens.

Head of state and government

The head of state and government is the king and he has got legal and executive power, as well as the task of forming and the possibility of dissolving the parliament.

Court of Infantrymen

The Court of Infantrymen is the house of parliament in the Kingdom of Nickonia and holds legislative power; it is made up of an only chamber in which parliamentarians exercise legislative power within the limits and duties of the constitution. The only director in this court is the president of the parliament and he has the obligation to encourage and enforce dignified and correct behavior.

Court of the Greatest

The judiciary is managed by the king, and he has the task of judging those who have been accused of a crime; it is made up of an only chamber like the Court of Infantrymen, and its name is Court of the Greatest.

Army

The kingdom of Nickonia does not have an army at the moment.

Foreign relations and Regions

For now the Kingdom of Nickonia has no relationship with other nations. The Kingdom of Nickonia has an only one region and this is named after the state itself; that's because the Kingdom of Nickonia is a micronation and does not have large territories.

Economy

Right now the Kingdom of Nickonia has a state GDP and per capita GDP of 0; however, the kingdom is working hard to enhance it and find new people to provide citizenship to. The currency used in the state is the Nickios, present only in the form of a banknote on which the state seal is placed.

Culture

The state and the population are very tied to Italian culture therefore almost all traditional celebrations (except state ones such as Republic day etc.) are practiced. However, one of the original holidays is Independence Day which is celebrated every year on January 30th. It consist of a parade in which the royal family and all holders of noble titles are protagonists.
