Mūta Ushiyori, better known as Mūchan is an Agatonian politician, entertainer and animal rights activist who currently serves as the 2nd Prime Minister of Agatonia since 9 August 2024. He is leader of GreatGreenGoal, the largest party in the Agatonian Parliament, and serves as Secretary of Animal Security in his own cabinet.
In the August 2024 Prime Minister Elections, Ushiyori was elected by majority of the votes. The votes have overthrown Bart Luijbregts and Dialogue for Freedom ceased their leadership of Agatonia directly after the elections.
Early life
Ushiyori is a native Agatonian of Kangaroovillian origin. He is the older brother of politician Ainosuke Kumakata, the Secretary of Foreign Affairs. Despite being natively Agatonian, he belongs to the Peach Blossom Spring minority of Agatonia and moved to Extreme North Somerley shortly after the foundation of Agatonia.
Early political career
Ushiyori started his political career in GreatGreenGoal. His political goals are to encourage animal security and to prevent animal slaughter. He also would like to encourage animal rights, but he wants to illegalize animal slaughter. Despite encouraging animal rights and illegalizing animal slaughter, he wants to professionalize the Ministry of Agriculture.
Ushiyori cooperates together with President Kaito I to lead Agatonia. Despite the differences between the two politicians—a prime minister supporting animal rights versus a president supporting human rights—the two politicians have been cooperating ever since.
Before the August 2024 Prime Minister Elections, Ushiyori had applied for being a PM-candidate, alongside Ainosuke Kumakata and Hop Godai. After winning the prime minister elections, Kumakata and Godai were promoted to Secretary of Foreign Affairs and Secretary of Defense.
Post-Luijbregts Era
Dialogue for Freedom leadership
When Bart Luijbregts and his political party Dialogue for Freedom led the Commonwealth of Agatonia, his goal was to encourage communication. Dialogue for Freedom has led Agatonia since June 2024, but the Political Party of Dignity and Rights has been more active since the leadership of Dialogue for Freedom has been unofficially inactive.
In 1 July 2024, Dialogue for Freedom has officially become inactive, and the PPDR has succeeded Dialogue for Freedom's leadership of Agatonia. From that day, there was no prime minister in Agatonia.
Before the August 2024 Prime Minister Elections
Before the August 2024 Prime Minister Elections began, Bart Luijbregts applied for being a PM-candidate alongside Mūta Ushiyori, Hop Godai and Ainosuke Kumakata. The elections began in 9 August 2024 on 9:00pm, and citizens could choose between the four candidates. In the elections, Ushiyori received an overwhelming three votes out of four. The result was announced on 10:00pm and Ushiyori has won the elections and Bart Luijbregts and his Dialogue for Freedom ceased their leadership directly after the elections.
After the August 2024 Prime Minister Elections
After Ushiyori and his GreatGreenGoal received an overwhelming three votes out of four, he was congratulated by President Kaito I and he negotiated with Ushiyori about animal rights and slaughter. Ushiyori finally proposed to illegalize animal slaughter, as a purpose to protect animals. Ushiyori also proposed to let people drink soy milk rather than cow milk to provide better lives for cows and their calves. President Kaito I supported both proposals. Additionally, Ushiyori's GreatGreenGoal has the goal to provide better lives for cows.
