The Kaljakroon (sign: KR; code: KKR) is the official currency of the Estonian Republic of Kali. The Kaljakroon was adopted as the sole legal tender of Kalia on 1 September 2022. Kaljakroon is subdivided into 100 cents (senti; singlur sent).
The Kaljakroon is based on the tare value in Estonia which is 10 Euro Cents per bottle. The value was chosen to replace the old system, in which one Kaljakroon was worth 250mm of Kali.
Administration
The Kaljakroon is managed and administered by the Kalian Bank and the economic minister of Kalia. The Kalian Bank is located in the capital of Kalia, Kõivu. The Kalian Bank participates in the printing and distribution of notes in Kalia and the operation of the payment systems.
Etymology
The word kaljakroon was inspired by the name of the old currency of Estonia, being the macronation of Kalia. The word kroon was then put together with the word kali (in declension kalja) to resemble the drink the currency's value was based on. After the new value system was introduced, the name was never changed, and the purpose of the word kali in the name of the currency is now to just separate the currency from the actual Kroon currencies.
History
The Kaljakroon became the official currency of Kalia during the era of great reformation on 30 October-September first, 2022, when Kert Tamme ordered the creation of the new currency. For a long while, the currency was not really in use and served as just a symbol of Kalia. Kalia had plans to make the currency useful and usable, but there was no way to print out the currency, so the plan failed. During the early days of November 2022, Kalian Bank designed new banknotes and also began working on developing the currency and laying down plans on making it work as a usable currency. Kalia has yet not printed out any banknotes, but the Kalian Bank has confirmed that they are working on it.

Coins
Kaljakroon has no coins yet. The production of the Kaljakroon coins were considered by the Kalian Bank and a prototype was made using aluminum. The coin was accidently lost by Koit Tamme, and since then no further attempts have been made to produce Kaljakroon coins.
Banknotes
Kalian Bank finished designing the new Kaljakroons, 1 KKR, 2KKR, 3KKR and 4KKR by December fifth, leaving the 5th Kaljakroon to be designed in the future. The notes have not been let into circulation yet, as no banknotes have been printed. Kalian Bank has said, that the first Kaljakroons will be printed by late January or early February 2023.
