The Joedom of Joeistan, more commonly known as Joeistan, is a micronation in {North America}. It declared its independence on February 16th 2024 and was immediately attacked by a two-person Guerilla fighter group. The fighter group was then recognized as a terrorist organization and an enemy of the state by the government of Joeistan and shortly after, the Grand Joe, along with the Prez, formally declared war.

Joeistan is governed by the Prez who as of February 16th 2024, has complete control over the Chamber of Sigmas, Supreme Court of Cool People, and Joeistanian cabinet due to the lack of candidates for government positions.

The foreign affairs of Joeistan are managed by the Prez. Joeistan has no foreign relations with other microstates as of February 16th 2024.

Etymology

Joeistans name was based off of one of two founding fathers of Joeistan; Joseph. The Prez chose "stan" at the end of its name because it sounded the best out of all the other options.

History

Joeistan formed its nation on an eight-article constitution signed into effect by the Prez and Grand Joe on February 16th 2024. About 1 hour after its independence, two Guerilla fighters teamed up to attack the Grand Joe and Prez in a daring skirmish; prompting a declaration of war and giving the Prez an excuse to revoke one of the perpetrators citizenship.

Politics and government

The Head of the Joeistanian government is the Prez, who is elected every 4 years and appoints the cabinet, maintains orderly debate and procedure in the Chamber, appoints Justices to the Supreme Court, approves bills passed by the Chamber, and manages the foreign affairs of the nation. The Grand Joe is a hereditary title that is granted the power and right to ascend bills into effect and is the Supreme Commander of the military. The Grand Joe is also the only office of which can declare war, however requires the approval of the Prez.

Legislature

Joeistans legislative powers are vested into the Chamber of Sigmas, here it's members may create and pass bills (including constitutional amendments) for approval by the Prez.

As of February 16th 2024, no political parties exist in Joeistan.

Law and order

Joeistans judicial system comprises only of the Supreme Court of Cool People, who protect and interpret the constitution. A majority of its Justices may decide to veto legislation or actions by an office if they are unconstitutional.

Military

The Supreme Commander of the military is the Grand Joe, the Grand Joe appoints and fires military leaders such as the Field Marshal, Chief of Staff, and Grand Admiral. The military has 2 active personnel as of February 16th 2024; one of them being the Prez.
