The Imperial Union Party (IUP), also known as the Imperial Party, is a democratic and imperialist political party in the Union of West Richland States. The party was founded on June 13, 2024 by Garrett Droppo because a presidential election was coming up and there weren't any political parties in the country yet. It is currently the largest political party in the UWRS, with five members.
History
The Imperial Union Party was founded on June 13, 2024 by Garrett Droppo, as a center-right, democratic and imperialist political party. It was founded in response to the lack of political parties within the UWRS, where few people showed interest in politics. The timing of the party's formation was crucial, as the UWRS was approaching an election, and Garrett saw an opportunity to fill the political vacuum. The creation of the IUP started a shift in the political landscape of the UWRS, where people with similar governmental ideas started to work together instead of standing alone. The IUP decided to select Brentley Beebe as their candidate for the presidential election. On June 30, Brentley won the election with 100% of the votes.
Flag
The original flag of the IUP was made by Garrett on the same day that the party was created. From September 2nd to September 4th, 2024, there was a party-wide vote on what the flag of the party should be. There were three options, but the original flag won the vote. But, on October 4th the majority of the party decided to change the flag to a new design made by Landon Swanson. The V represents the high but equal people of the union, the red represents the strength within the people, and the white lines in the V are the land and rivers. The ribbon intersecting the V on the top says "Unio Civitatum Unitum" which is the national motto of the UWRS, and the ribbon at the bottom says UWRS on it. The sun on top is the same sun that is on the national flag, and it represents the strength that unites everyone in the country, and the gray on the flag represents imperialism and victory over enemies.
