The Felsenian Air Force (FAF) is the air warfare branch of the Republic of Felsenia.

History

The Felsenian Air Force traces its earliest roots to the short-lived Trium Urbium Air Force, founded in 2021 by the Kingdom of Trium Urbium. Trium Urbium would be quickly dissolved and succeeded by the Kingdom of Rote Berge. The Rote Berge air force, the Royal Air Forces, would be the foundation for traditions in the FAF. After the dissolution of Rote Berge and the establishment of Felsenia, the Felsenian Air Force would be founded.

The FAF has very limited equipment and aircraft, and as such has only one active squadron.

Uniforms and insignia

Roundel (1 August 2023 — present)

The roundel of the FAF uses the national colours with a golden lion in the centre. Originally the FAF had no roundel but an act passed in the Parliament that created a committee to redesign the flags and emblems of the then-security forces.

The ensign of the FAF consists of the national flag in the canton with the roundel of the FAF on the bottom fly side. From March to July 2023, the FAF used a provisional ensign that consisted of the national flag in the canton with two circles consisting of the national colours on the fly side.

Felsenian Air Force emblem (1 August 2023 — present)

The emblem of the FAF is an RAF-style emblem with a golden lion crest and the motto reading "Alae praesidio patriae", in English meaning "wings for the protection of the country".

Uniform

The uniform of the FAF consists of blues, utility, and flight dresses. All of the uniforms are surplus USAF uniforms. The 'blues' dress consists of Class A, Class B, and Class C uniforms. The Class A is a full dress uniform, while the Class B & C are service dresses. The utility dress is either a Battle Dress Uniform or an Operational Camouflage Pattern uniform. The flight dress uniform is either a tan, green, or black flight suit.
