Smairoland (Estonian: Smairo. Official: FRS), officially the Federal Republic of Smairoland, is a micronation laying claim to several regions of Estonia, and small street in Ukraine. The FRS has its own flag, coat of arms, constitution, and language.
History
In 2021, the president of Smairoland, Samir Cibis, played Minecraft with his friend Fyodor Romanov, and on their server, countries were founded in which role-playing games were held. Because Samir Cibis' friend accidentally said his name wrong, this is how the idea for the name of his country, the Federal Republic of Smairoland, was born. Initially, this country only had a meaning in the game Minecraft, but one day, when Samir was studying micronations, he liked the idea and decided to found his country in the Paevälja region of Estonia in a small wasteland.
Early Development
Upon establishing the Federal Republic of Smairoland in 2023, Samir Cibis and his supporters began drafting a constitution and designing national symbols, such as the flag and coat of arms. The micronation initially focused on building a sense of community among its citizens, many of whom participated remotely through online platforms.
Geography
Smairoland is quite small and isolated, being only about 832,000 m² in size, with a population of 29 people. This country is located in the Paevälja region, in the city of Tallinn. Most of the territory is wasteland.
Climate
The region experiences a temperate climate with cold winters and mild summers. The wasteland area, while barren, has potential for development, and the government has plans to create green spaces and small infrastructure projects to improve the living conditions.
Modern Day
The government of Smairoland has decided to join the Antarctic Union of Microstates. Smairoland has put forward its candidacy and territorial claims to some territories of Antarctica. The country has also participated in the development of some regions and holds many events related to supporting individual creativity. In May 2024, vehicle registration plates were created to make it easier to identify the ownership of vehicles.
Cultural Initiatives
Smairoland has been active in promoting cultural activities among its citizens. Regular online meetups, art competitions, and literary events are held to foster a sense of community and encourage creativity.
Military
The Federal Republic of Smairoland has its own police and army. Given the high security of the country, there is a Military Police that protects the borders and maintains order.
Law Enforcement
The Military Police of Smairoland is responsible for maintaining law and order within the micronation. Despite its small size, Smairoland places a strong emphasis on security and the rule of law.

As of July 2024, Smairoland has a population of 29 citizens hailing from all continents except Estonia. The largest diasporas are found in Estonia, Ukraine, and Fiji.
