The Emir-Sultanate of la Maison', more commonly known as la Maison or sometimes officialy known as the Commonwealth of the Most Noble, Immortal and Illustrious Federated Former Soviet Republic, Empire and Principality of the Sovereign Emir-Sultanate of la Maison,Czardom of the Lagoan Isles and the United Soviet Republic of Marie Byrd Land, is a micronation in Australia, Antarctica and the comet Vesta. It is a constitutional monarchy (de jure) or a absolute monarchy (de facto). Part of it the Czardom of the Lagoan Isles claims to be the succesor state to the Tsardom of Russia.
Etymology
la Maison comes from the French word for house it is deliberately spelt lowercase, always even at the start of a sentence.
History
la Maison has a fairly short history spanning 1 year it was originally founded as a principality on the 26th of Iunar-Firstmonthen 1 FY Neo-Gregorian Years.It then became an empire. It then became a republic then it became a principality again through the Dictator Act-2023 it then became an Emir-Sultanate and ,later changed it's name to San Pedro El Segundo de Alejandría and finally changed it's name back to la Maison.
Politics and government
la Maison has 2 houses of parliment the House of Lords and the Council of Socrates, laws start in the Council of Socrates then they are sent to the House of Lords, if the law is denied the law must be rewritten if it is approved it is sent to the Emir-Sultan who may approve it and make it an official law or deny it and restart the process.
Early government
In the Principality of la Maison laws where passed orally while in the Republic of la Maison laws where written by the President and then approved by the Minister of Law.
Emir-Sultan
The Emir-Sultan is the head of state of la Maison they have the power to approve or deny any law as well as write them and send them to the House of Lords.
Head-Minister
The Head-Minister is the Head of Goverment of la Maison they have the power to create laws and are the only member of the Council of Socrates.
Parliment
The laws written,signed and stamped by the Emir-Sultan are passed immediatly. If a law is written by the Head-Minister must first be sent to the House of Lords and if denied sent back and re-written, if it is approved by the House of Lords it will be sent to the Emir-Sultan who may approve and pass it or deny it and restart the process
