Digital Systems, officially the Department of Digital Systems (Greek: Τμήμα Ψηφιακών Συστημάτων), is a tribe based in the University of Piraeus, in Greece.
History
The Department of Digital Systems traces its origins to the original Department of Informatics of the University of Piraeus. The tribe emerged in 1999. As is common with many University Departments online, in order to bring the students together, a Facebook group under the name of "Ψηφιακά FTW!!" was created on the 26th of October 2010. As of mid-October 2019, it has 1.883 members.
Politics
The absolute head of the Department is the President. Even though the Student Council is allowed to discuss things and have talks with the President, only he or she can make decisions, according to the legislation of the Hellenic Republic, since the Presidency is still subjective to the University of Piraeus and, thus, the Hellenic state.

Political parties
It is generally accepted that the main power of the Department lies on the shoulders of the Hellenic Communist Party Youth (Greek: Κομμουνιστική Νεολαία Ελλάδος aka Κ.Ν.Ε.), with most D.S. nationals being related one way or another to the left-wing. Although there is definitely plurality inside the population, the majority seems to be related to more than one left-wing organisation, such as Ε.Α.Α.Κ., Contra Rossa etc. Yet again, as in every Department, there are people who don't support any party and are either involved in politics or indifferent.
Military
Prior to the existence of the University of Memeraeus, there was no official reference to the military corps of the Department of Digital Systems. So far, the Department of Digital Systems has had incorporated three separate corps: the DS Gang, the DS Army and, recently, D.S.I.S. (Digital Systems Islamic State).
DS Gang
On the 14th of November 2018, the DS Gang was first mentioned inside the community of the University of Memeraeus. Since then, it gained recognition just days prior to the peak of the Civil War between the tribes of the Nation. Very few members were actually deployed as members - as it turned out, it was a private sort of group with highly ranked members of the administration team, as well as a couple of newcomers. Eventually, the DS Gang merged with the DS Army that was established at some point during the Civil War, although it maintained its historical status as the first military group of Digitalians.

On the 25th of November 2018, only 11 days after the formal formation of the DS Gang, Warlord Alexander B. announced an attack by a larger group of Digitalians, called "DS Army". Four days later, on the 29th, Colonel P. Dimi officially announced the merger between the DS Gang and the DS Army. Around that time, the DS Army started using its own logo, an edited Reichsadler, with the Department's initials (D.S.) replacing the swastika below the eagle and the name of each faction written on each wing; "ARMY" on the right and "GANG" on the left wing. Up until September 2019 (officially the 13th of October of the same year), the DS Army was the official military corps of the Department of Digital Systems.

On the 13th of October 2019, as the second week of lectures was about to kick-off, Generalissimo Konrad Hirsch, the newest member of the administration team at that point, announced the formal dissolution of the union between the DS Army and DS Gang. In his announcement, it was made clear that the Department had to give up on the entities that linked it to the Civil War. Thus, a new chapter was about to be introduced to the history of the Department, as well as the Nation; the establishment of the Digital Systems Islamic State. The DSIS is clearly a parody of Daesh (ISIS), a satirical attempt to established a more staunch military authority. Hirsch promoted the new entity alongside its official anthem, "Ceddin deden", the anthem of the Ottoman Empire. A few people involved have characterised this move as the true fusion of DS Gang and DS Army, although this claim is yet to be proven right. As of October 2019, the Byzantine Gang (ByzGang) is in contact with DSIS, in order to mutually plan and achieve the restoration of the Roman Empire in the immediate future.
Demographics
Languages
The most spoken language (and lingua franca) of the Department of Digital Systems is the Greek language, as 100% of the members are able to speak and write in Greek. English is the secondary language, hence retains its status as a co-official language in the Department, as certain aspects require the use of English-language terms.
Of the minority languages spoken in the Department, only four of them have been officially recognised by the state of Memeraeus; namely Albanian, Russian, Serbian and Ukrainian. The Japanese language, currently studied by at least two individuals, is partially recognised by the state and fully backed by the Department. French, German and Italian can be spoken at times, but aren't generally recognised as trade and/or formally represented languages.

Ethnicity
The vast majority of the members were at least raised in Greece and/or born there. There is a slight chance of having Albanian people who moved to Greece at a young age. Furthermore, there is a small number of people who grew up in other countries and moved to Greece, in order to study abroad.
Religion
Although there is a high representation of Christians (mainly Greek Orthodox), Atheists, probably Muslims and at least one Buddhist, the general consensus is gradually moving to a higher spiritual cause, with the following of the SPNLS cult.
