Dharmarajya Bodhiмarta (sans. धर्मराज्य बोधिवर्त) is a micro-state in Eastern Europe. A state following the Dharma of the Buddha (in the West, so-called "Buddhism").  The basis of political and social life is based on the teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha. The main languages are English, Russian and Sanskrit.

Etymology

The name of the state, Dharmarajya Bodhivarta, is derived from Sanskrit. Dharmarajya translates as "ruling in accordance with the Dharma", i.e. in accordance with the teachings of the Buddha. Bodhivarta translates as "land of awakening".

History

The state was founded on 10 July 2023 (Christmas Day) (2566 in the Buddhist calendar) and is beginning its development.

Territories

Dharmarajya Bodhivarta is more of a "nomadic" state, as Bodhivarta has no permanent territory. At the moment, the territory of the state is a wooded area where the meditations of the residents, and the Monarch proper, are held.

Population

Bodhivarta is inhabited by only one person (he is the Monarch) - Valery Vodolagin. Accordingly, Buddhism (Theravada) is the most widespread religion of Bodhivarta.

Political structure

The state is run by the Monarch, in conjunction with the Guru Assembly. There are no political parties as such in Bodhivarta. The economy as such is underdeveloped. The Russian rouble and the baht of Bodhivarta are used in monetary circulation.
