Democratic Party - Baltish political party of a democratic, social-liberal, centrist and centre-left nature. Created on 10th July 2023. It is one of the two main political forces in Baltia, alongside the Republican Party. It is the current oposition party in the Republic of Baltia.

Ideology

Since its inception, the Democratic Party has supported agrarianism and democracy. Among Democrats, we can distinguish four ideological groups, mainly social liberals and progressive, as well as centrists and a few social democrats. Democrats support:

- Development of social security

- Changing tax law to make it unfavorable for moving capital abroad

- Raising the federal minimum wage

- Modernization and development of public education and ensuring universal pre-school education

- Support for renewable energy sources and reduction of fossil fuel consumption

- Limited access to firearms

- Pro-immigration policy

- Development of social programs and subsidies

- Progressive taxes

- Support for same-sex marriage and civil partnerships

- Opposition to torture

- Pro-europeanism (are supporters of cooperation with the EU)

The Democratic Party traditionally supports equal opportunity, basic social protections, trade unions and the welfare state. This care includes tax progression, higher minimum wages, social security, universal access to health care and education, and municipal housing. They also support government sponsorship of infrastructure development and job creation. Unlike the Republican Party, they support the liberalization of abortion law and euthanasia. Democrats are also for social and racial equality.

Management

Currently, the democrats have a minority in the Duma and are the main opposition camp in Baltia. Despite the lack of government in the State, Democrats are very well developed in regional government.

Democrats currently rule in 3 of the 6 Federal countries.
