The Democratic Conservative Party (Caelestan: Партидул Демократ Консерватор) is a centre-right political party in Caelesta.
History
In November 2021, Broad Front, the first party after Caelesta's new constitution, was established. Vân Tinh Nghiên Tuyết hopes to broaden Caelesta's political spectrum and balance the Broad Front, so she established a party that will mainly focus on the protection of Caelestan's language and culture, the Democratic Conservative Party, which is also the first right-wing party in Caelestan history. According to a January 2022 poll, the Democratic Conservative Party has the largest number of supporters in Caelesta.[1] The party has been the biggest in Caelesta since Twinkle became prime minister.
Ideology
The party is conservative in culture, but neutral and sometimes even progressive in social and economics.
Three propositions of Democratic Conservative Party in the first parliament campaign are: 1. Create a Caelestan Language School to teach new citizens Caelestan language and culture. 2. Accept International Non-Binary People's Day as a national day, to support non-binary visibility (women's day and men's day are already national days in Caelesta). 3. Ban national flag desecration.
Another long-term proposition of the Democratic Conservative Party is replacing loanwords from Turkish in Caelestan language, for example, душман will be replaced as инамик.
