Declaration of Independence of Simharashtra
The Declaration of Indepedence of Simharashtra, officially The unanimous Declaration of the Kingdom of Simharashtra, is the pronouncement and founding document adopted by the State Regency Council meeting at Crown State House, which was later renamed Independence Abbey. Enacted during the Great Thinking Era, the Declaration explains why the Kingdom of Simharashtra regarded themselves as Independent and no longer subject to the rule of the Federal Government of the United States of America.
The Declaration of Independence was signed unanimously by the Crown Prince of Simharashtra, Vikramaditya I.
The Drafting Committee of the State Regency Council drafted the Declaration to be ready to be voted on independence.
The sources and interpretation of the Declaration have been the subject of much scholarly inquiry. The Declaration justified the independence of the Kingdom by asserting certain natural and legal rights, including a right of Self-Determination. Its original purpose was to announce independence, and references to the text of the Declaration were few in the following years.
The declaration was made to guarantee equal rights for every person regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or any other characteristics.
