Important Events

The annual Crete Association game days:[3]

This is how it gove: There are three games, citizens and members can participate in them. The winner of the game (if a member.) will be awarded 3 award points, second place will be awarded 2 points, and the third place gets 1 point. Any citizen can apply for the games, but you have to apply separately for each game. The games are held every year on June 2. At the end of the games, whoever won the most points wins a certificate of recognition. The three games:

1. Bowling:

Bowling is actually played:

Step 1: Players pick up their glass balls and rolling out of the start.

Step 2: The bullet rolls along the shaped route and reach the target squarre. Who does not reach the target squarre as well and who goes beyond the target squarre is also losing. He left the next time and this goes until somebody becomes the winner.

2. Hide and Seek:

This game is played as follows: We draw a finder and the others hide. The last person to be found gets two points and the second to last gets one.

3. Dwarf competition:

This game is played in such a way that everyone crouches next to each other and goes around the meadow in a dwarf walk along the designated route. The first place gets three points, the second place gets two points and the third place gets one point.

The celebration of the founding of the state:

Like the others, this holiday is completely free. The festivities begin at 8:30 a.m. when the Emperor delivers a speech in Mandula Town. The speech is approx. It is usually 30-45 minutes long. Then, at 9:40 a.m., if someone has performed an "Award-worthy" act that year, the Emperor will award them. If there was no such person that year, the shops, buffets and all souvenir shops will open. If there was an honored person, the shops will open at 10:00 a.m. on average. The event lasts until 11:55 a.m. Until then, you can shop, ask for an autograph from the Emperor and take a selfie with the Emperor.

The Freedom celebrating:

This holiday was only introduced from 2022. We started celebrating this holiday because on October 3, 2022, our ally until then, the MMBS Rank Republic, wanted to merge the Crete Association and take away its independence. Fortunately, our Queen prevented this, took over the power and returned the Imperial throne after the danger had passed.Visiting the celebrating is also free. The event starts at 1:30 p.m. every year on 10.03. The Emperor gives a speech, followed by the "Hero of Freedom" Queen. The speeches are approx. They last for 1 hour. After that, at 2:40 p.m., the buffets and souvenir shops open. At 3:00 p.m., solemn National Anthem singing. The celebration lasts until 4:30 p.m. Until then, you can ask for an autograph or take a selfie with the Emperor and the "Hero of Freedom."

Settlement day:

This day is about the fact that when the Cretan Empire made an alliance with the Rangi Republic of Bolgajna, there was a huge celebration in the Empire. And from there, the Cretan Empire started to celebrate this day every year. On this day, we usually hold a parade in the morning, followed by the ceremonial raising of the flag, followed by the singing of the national anthem. We will then give each Diplomatic Hero a certificate. In addition to these, you can also buy in bazaars. This holiday has been celebrated on December 28 every year since 2022.

Culture

National plants:

Almond tree: Is a stone fruit, or the shorter name of the almond tree that produces it. Its native land is the Baltic region, mainly the island of Crete. Its closest relative is the peach, its more distant relatives are the plum and the apricot. The fruit of the almond tree is one of the oldest and best known of all the oil seeds in the world.

Almond tree is the National tree in the Crete Empire.

Two basic types of pitchers can be distinguished according to their habitat, the lowland pitchers and the upland or mountain pitchers. The former are roughly 1,000 square meters. they live below, while the latter live above it. Lowland species are heat-demanding, while highland species need cooling at night.

National instruments:

The Crete Empire national instruments is the Ukulele. The tone and volume of the instrument vary with size and construction. Ukuleles commonly come in four sizes: soprano, concert, tenor, and baritone. The ukulele is generally made of wood, though variants have been composed partially or entirely of plastic or other materials. Cheaper ukuleles are generally made from plywood or laminated woods, in some cases with a soundboard of a tonewood such as spruce. More expensive ukuleles are made of solid hardwoods such as mahogany

Typically, ukuleles have a figure-eight body shape similar to that of a small acoustic guitar. They are also often seen in nonstandard shapes, such as cutaway and oval, usually called a "pineapple" ukulele (see image below), invented by the Kamaka Ukulele company, or a boat-paddle shape, and occasionally a square shape, often made out of an old wooden cigar box.

These instruments usually have four strings; some strings may be paired in courses, giving the instrument a total of six or eight strings (primarily for greater strumming volume.) The strings themselves were originally made of catgut. Modern ukuleles use strings made from nylon polymers, synthetic gut, or fluorocarbon or wound strings composed of a (typically) nylon core wound with metal or polymers, including aluminium and silver-plated copper.

The Crete Empire national instrument is Ukulele.

Instruments with six or eight strings in four courses are often called taropatches, or taropatch ukuleles. They were once common in a concert size, but now the tenor size is more common for six-string taropatch ukuleles. The six-string, four-course version, has two single and two double courses, and is sometimes called a though this name also applies to the eight-string version. Eight-string baritone taropatches exist, and, 5-string tenors have also been made.

String instrument:

The Crete Empire national String insrtument is Furulya. The is a family of woodwind musical instruments in the group known as internal duct flutes: flutes with a whistle mouthpiece, also known as fipple flutes. A recorder can be distinguished from other duct flutes by the presence of a thumb-hole for the upper hand and seven finger-holes: three for the upper hand and four for the lower.[4]

Recorders were traditionally constructed from wood or ivory. Modern professional instruments are almost invariably of wood, often boxwood; student and scholastic recorders are commonly of moulded plastic. The recorders' internal and external proportions vary, but the bore is generally reverse conical (i.e. tapering towards the foot) to cylindrical, and all recorder fingering systems make extensive use of forked fingerings.[5]

The recorder is first documented in Europe in the Middle Ages, and continued to enjoy wide popularity in the Renaissance and Baroque periods, but was little used in the Classical and Romantic periods. It was revived in the twentieth century as part of the historically informed performance movement, and became a popular amateur and educational instrument. Composers who have written for the recorder include Monteverdi, Lully, Purcell, Handel, Vivaldi, Telemann, Bach, Hindemith, and Berio. There are many professional recorder players who demonstrate the full solo range of the instrument, and a large community of amateurs.[6]

The sound of the recorder is often described as clear and sweet, and has historically been associated with birds and shepherds. It is notable for its quick response and its corresponding ability to produce a wide variety of articulations. This ability, coupled with its open finger holes, allow it to produce a wide variety of tone colours and special effects. Acoustically, its tone is relatively pure and, when the edge is positioned in the center of the airjet, odd harmonics predominate in its sound (when the edge is decidedly off-center, an even distribution of harmonics occurs).

National animals:

The national animal in the Crete Empire is Uscar dog. The breed is divided into four varieties based on size, the Standard poodle, Medium poodle, Miniature poodle and Toy poodle, although the Medium Poodle is not universally recognised. They have a distinctive thick, curly coat that comes in many colors and patterns, with only solid colors recognized by breed registries. Poodles are active and intelligent, and are particularly able to learn from humans. Poodles tend to live 10–18 years, with smaller varieties tending to live longer than larger ones.[7]

Domestic politics

The internal politics of the empire are very simple. We are an Electoral Semi-Constitutional Monarchy.[9] There is the Emperor, then the members (Only members can have ranks.) and at the bottom are the citizens. This does not mean that they are subject to any kind of oppression, their rights are the same.
