Congress of the Democratic Republic of Hoku
Congress, officially Congress of the Democratic Republic of Hoku is the national legislature of the Democratic Republic of Hoku and plays a major role within the Hokuian government. Article Two of the Constitution of Hoku stating that the legislative branch is to "Is designed to pass laws, draft the budget, and oversee government actions. Local self-governance shall be encouraged, allowing regions to manage their affairs" The Congress itself wasn't officially adapted until January the 28th 2024.
History
Peoples Council of Hoku
The earliest Congress of Hoku was the People's Council of Hoku a congress made during the Socialist Republic of Hoku it was very inactive and was only made because Terry Mckeen III of Zeprana requested it be made so they could discuss the indepence of Hoku from the former United Socialists Republics or Almendria. The Peoples Council of Hoku at its maximum height had 50 members.
Modern Congress
The modern of Congress of Hoku only has 8 members all being chosen by President Tipton. All of the 8 members used to be in the Peoples Council of Hoku. No Congressional Election has been held yet but this will soon hopefully change soon.
