Start of the conflict
On 9 March 2022 the president of Einikhflegh Hristo Tomov (now President of Chondong) resigned. He appointed as acting president Andrey Danailov. On March 11, 2022, just shortly after his inauguration, the new president posted a statement stating the dissolution of the Orthodox Church of Einikhflegh, the establishment of a cult of personality around him as well as the takeover for lifetime. In addition to this, all national languages besides English were banned from usage within the country, sparking further anger. By the late evening of the 11th of March, 2022, the People's Republic of Edristan assured the President of Chondong their solidarity, however refusing to partake in any actual battles, instead offering the supplying of goods and various forms of aid.
