The Chief Constable of Albia is the professional head of the Albian Police Force and is the highest ranking police officer in the Kingdom of Albia. It serves as both a rank and an office in the constabulary.
History
The office of chief constable is the oldest policing office in Albia. It was formed by Luke I of Albia alongside the Albian Police Force on 25 June 2022.
Appointment
The chief constable is typically a constable from the Uniformed Policing Directorate. Candidates are nominated by the Minister of Defence. The Prime Minister of Albia then approves the nomination, and then the Monarch of Albia formally appoints the candidate to the role.
