Historical Flags are flags that were used in official capacity but have been made obsolete by newer variants or outright replaced with new designs. An example would be the Grand Union Flag that was in use by the fledgling United States until 1777. They can also be the flags of defunct countries such as the Imperial Banner of the Holy Roman Empire or the flag of the Hutt River Province.
