Boriopa Centrum, officially the Boriopa Centrum Municipal Alliance, and until 2024 known as Boriopa City, is a municipality within Easwegian Svalbard Isles, serving as the de facto federal capital of the Easwegian Common Union. Established 7 October 2019, Boriopa Centrum lies in the north of Bear Island and holds the seat of the Government and the nation's legislature, the United Common Assembly. It also contains the Bear Island Meteorological Station in Herwighamna.

The head of the Boriopa Centrum municipal council is Marquis Devaade Raizerni, who has been serving since 2 September 2023.

Etymology

The 'Boriopa' in Boriopa Centrum is the Easwegian translation of Svalbard and comes from Boréās meaning north wind and ṓps meaning wide face. Loosely this can be translated as north wind lands. Easwegian mythology from the mid 1st millenium to the mid 2nd millenium borrowed much from Greek mythology, including many of its Gods. This included Boreas who is said to be the God of the north winds. After the fall of the Khazars in the 10th century AD, the Easwegian Ezaari, traditionally viewing themselves as one clan of many of the children of Boreas, are said to have headed north to seek out Boreas' domain, eventually discovering and identifying it as Svalbard.

The Barents Region including Svalbard, that is Boriopa, is called Greater Boriopa in Easwegian and is comparable to the mythological Hyperborea.
