The Austro-Hungarian Imperial Defence Force is the defence force of the Austro Hungarian Empire. The Imperial Defence Force has three branches: the Imperial Army, the Imperial Navy, the Imperial Air Force and the Imperial Dragoon Force. The defence force came into being after the Austro Hungarian Empire absorbed the assets of the Xahastanian Popular Army.
Command Structure
The Emperor of Austria Hungary is the commander in chief of the AHIDF, under the Emperor, all the Chief of Staff and all other ranks are interchangeable.
Roundels
The AHIDF employs roundels for use on land vehicles, aircraft and vessels.
History
The Austro-Hungarian Imperial Defence Force was founded during the negotiations between the presidents of Badu Park and Xahastan. The defence forces only engagement was in the War of Deposition where a joint Xahastanian-Badu Parkian army overthrew a rouge government in the Conjolan Province.
Strategic Defence Readiness Code
The Austro-Hungarian Imperial Defence Force has a unique readiness code called the Strategic Defence Readiness Code or SDRC.

ALPHA | Normal | Austria Hungary is at peace: the military is on very low alert. |
BRAVO | Observe | The Austro Hungarian state is observing a conflict close to the borders: The Austro-Hungarian Imperial Defence Force begins monitoring suspicious actions externally. |
CHARLIE | Warning | AHIDF is on low warning: moderate threat detected. The AHIDF is placed on a warning and base security tightened. |
DELTA | Alert | AHIDF is on alert: The AHIDF begins mobilisation of troops, aircraft and ships. |
ECHO | Attack | The AHIDF is at war and the entire AHIDF is mobilized. |
GOLF | State of Emergency | The entire Austro-Hungarian state is under a state of emergency. Only the Emperor can activate SDRC level GOLF. |
Honours
The highest honour that can be bestowed on a soldier is the Imperial Iron Cross which is reserved for the highest actions of bravery on the battlefield. The Honour of St Stephen is reserved for those who were wounded or killed in action and the Imperial Merit is reserved for civilians who commit to actions of bravery. The Order of Sovereignty is reserved for foreign monarchs.
