Format

Each team plays each other in a round robin tournament for a total of 136 games. Then, the top 8 play each other in a knockout playoff based off of standing points, which are calculated by results.

WIN/loss= .01*(runs)+.1(Wickets) For example Team A 235/9 (70 overs) Team B 234 (69.3 overs) Team A points .01(runs)+.10(wickets) .01(235)+.10(10)

2.35 +1= 3.35 points

Team B .01(234)+.1(9) 2.34+.90= 3.24 points

Tie 1/2(.01(Runs)+.10(wickets) For Example Team A 235/8 (70 overs) Team B 235/6 (70 overs) Team A= 1/2(.01(235)+.1(6))

         1/2 (2.35+.60)=
         1/2 (2.95)= 1.475

all standing points must be to the nearest 1/100 of a point so team a will get 1.48 by rounding rules

Team B= 1/2(.01(235)+.1(8)

         1/2(2.35+ .8)
          1/2 (3.15)=1.575

Rain Delays

a method to calcualate adjsuted target is different from the duckworth lewis method

70- (delay in rain/3.75)= adjusted overs

opponents target ________________= opponents runrate opponents overs

(opponents runrate*adjusted overs)+1= win

for example a 45 minute rain delay team a s score was 185 in 70 overs

70-(45/3.75)=70-12=58

 185

______ = 2.64 runrate

 70

(2.64*58)= 153 +1= 154

team b needs an adjusted score of 154 runs to win

playoff format

in 2021 the playoff format will be a top 16 knock out meaning the that the top 16 teams by virtue of record will play each other based off of seeding
