Early life
Empress Athanasia was born on December 3, 2002 in Vaduz, Liechtenstein the eldest daughter of Crown Prince Roger Alpheus and Princess Diana De Alger. Her father succeeded to the throne of Obelia Lorraine after Countess Rosalia abdicated in 1996. Thus, right from birth, Athanasia was given the title of Royal Princess.
In 2016. Crown Prince Roger Alpheus decided to gradually transfer power to his eldest daughter as a way to start a transitional dynasty to a new generation by ceding the throne to Claude de Alger and Penelope Judith. Athanasia officially inherited the throne of Empress Obelia Lorraine shortly after her uncle and aunt Emperor Claude de Alger and Empress Penelope Judith abdicated on 4 October 2017.
