Arkonia Government Reform Act

The Arkonian Government Reform Act was a bill written and sponsored by Prime Minister A. Dillman.

ARTICLE I

The aim of this act, the Government Reform Act(subsequently referred to as GRA), is to increase the organization and transparency of the Arkonian Government.

ARTICLE II

TITLE 1(Bills)

Section 100

All Economic-related bills, sans funding for government expidentures, shall be assigned the numbers from 0000-0999.

Section 101

All Military and defense-related bills shall be assigned the numbers from 1000 to 2999.

Subsection 101a

All Army-specific bills shall be assigned the numbers from 1000 to 1499.

Subsection 101b

All Navy-related bills shall be assigned the numbers from 1500 to 1999.

Subsection 101c

All Air Force-related bills shall be assigned the numbers from 2000-2499.

Subsection 101d

All military-related bills that apply to more than one branch of the military shall be assigned the numbers from 2500-2999.

Section 102

All bills relating to other countries shall be assigned the numbers 3000-3999.

Subsection 102a

All bills approving treaties or international law shall be assigned the numbers 3000-3249.

Subsection 102b

All bills referrring to territorial acquisition and the opposite shall be assigned the numbers 3250-3499.

Section 103

All bills relating to Executive Departments, Independent Agencies, and other Government-controlled services shall be assigned the numbers from 3500-4499.

Section 104

All Bills Relating to the Executive Branch(The Monarch and Prime Minister) shall be assigned the numbers from 4500-4799.

Section 105

All Bills Relating to the Legislative Branch shall be assigned the numbers from 4800-5099.

Section 106

All bills relating to the Judicial Branch shall be assigned the numbers from 5100-5249.

Section 107

All other unassigned bills will be assigned the numbers 5250-9999 for now, but may be sorted into new categories that be added in a future reform act.

TITLE 2(Retroactive Naming)

Section 200

Arkonian Bill 2018-5-31-1 shall be renamed LA. Bill No. 6000.

Section 201

Arkonian Bill 2018-6-2-1 shall be renamed LA. Bill No. 6001.

Section 202

Arkonian Bill 2018-7-19-1 shall be renamed LA. Bill No. 6002.

Section 203

Arkonian Bill 2018-7-19-2 shall be renamed LA. Bill No. 0000.

Section 204

Arkonian Bill 2018-8-9-1 shall be renamed LA. Bill No. 5000.

Section 205

Arkonian Bill 2018-10-2-1 shall be renamed LA. Bill No. 3250.

Section 206

Arkonian Bill 2018-10-2-2 shall be renamed LA. Bill No. 6003.

ARTICLE III

Section 300

To help the Arkonian government be more transparent, Arkonia will launch live-streaming services during voting sessions, except for reasons of secrecy. These live-streams will be on the website of Arkonia.

Section 301

So citizens are aware of what their elected officials are voting for, the results of every bill, along with who voted for which choice, shall also be posted online on the Arkonian website.

Section 302

To have a government that is of the people, ordinary citiznes must approve of constitutional amendments and acts by a simple majority.
