The Anarchist Commune of Rubezhovka, more commonly known as Rubezhovka, is a micronation in Europe. It is located within the United Kingdom, from which it gained independence on 31 January 2024.
Rubezhovka is notably a stateless society, with no central government. Local areas are overseen by decentralised Worker's Councils, with power of those councils belonging to the populations of those areas.
Etymology
Rubezhovka comes from the Rubezhovkan words "рубэ", which means "without", and "жовка", which means "control". Literally translated, Rubezhovka means "without control" in Rubezhovkan.
Politics and government
Rubezhovka has no central governmental institution, and its local areas are overseen by the individual and independent Worker's Councils for particular areas, which are run and controlled by the people of said area. The most important of these Councils is the Volonivka Worker's Council, the Council which oversees the capital. These Councils co-ordinate the needs and wants of every person within the society and manages the gift economy for that area, as well as acts as a social area for everyone to gather, exchange and meet to discuss important issues.
Law and order
Law enforcement is overseen by the Worker's Councils - not many laws are upheld, with the nation being an anarchist nation, but those that are enforced are not done so through brute force, and the Commune values freedom as one of its core values.
Military
Rubezhovka has no standing military, being a stateless society. Instead, territorial defence is overseen by local Worker's Councils, who may call upon and arm any able-bodied military aged males aged 16 to 45 within their area. This call is voluntary, but it is customary to ostracise those who decline the call. They may also call upon these men regularly to provide training such as weapons training, first aid, fieldcraft, et cetera.
Foreign relations
Having no government, Rubezhovka has no foreign office to conduct foreign policy from. Nations may recognise Rubezhovka, but Rubezhovka cannot officially recognise them back.
Administrative regions
Raions of Rubezhovka are divided into areas of 2 square miles around the nearest Worker's Council - more if it encompasses a settlement, in which case it will expand to the settlement's boundaries. They take the name of the town that encompasses the local Worker's Council (e.g. Volonivka Worker's Council oversees the Volonivka Raion area).

Geography and climate
Rubezhovka is in Northern Europe and has a temperate climate, in summer seeing highs of around 30°C and in winter seeing lows of around -8°C.[b]
Economy
Being a moneyless society, the economy is not highly regulated and is a gift economy. Everyone from a local community pitches in to provide for each other "from each according to ability, to each according to need".
Farming and iron/limestone quarrying are the main industries in Rubezhovka, especially farming. Agriculture plays a large part in Rubezhovkan society.
Culture
Rubezhovkan culture is heavily influenced by Ukrainian culture. Supporting a large family is encouraged, working in the name of the local community, keeping the area tidy, and the suchlike. Rubezhovkans are allowed an unprecedented amount of freedom[c] (see citation for clarification).

Notes
- ↑ Raions have no official flag, instead Raions use the national flag.
- ↑ These are approximations, since no exact recordings have been taken by Rubezhovkan officials since there is no state weather institution.
- ↑ Clarification: Rubezhovkans have more rights than would be otherwise expected from a nation in its position. The right to bear arms, free speech, assembly, fair trial, and protest are all highly valued and even held sacred in Rubezhovka.
