Kayaland Political Crisis emerged on June 18, 2023, when the decisions taken by the Kayaland Government were considered authoritarian. The military coup on June 11, 2023 stirred up the public. People especially say that the results of the May 18, 2023 elections were changed by the government.
They also cited the micronation's lack of management as the reason why the Kayaland Prime Minister's Office remained vacant for nearly a month after the resignation of Sarp Soysal. Kulu Kaya, resigned 2 weeks later. His replacement, Z. Neva Kaya, resigned after 1 month and 1 week. While the administration was officially collapsing, O. Doğukan Kaya acceded he is still the prime minister. However, many people within the political party complain about the decisions they make.
The closure of the NDP by the constitutional court on December 11, 2023 was described as a violation of freedom. In addition, certain laws in the new constitution declared on January 29, 2024 were changed on February 13, 2024, on the grounds that they were contrary to the Kayaland Declaration of Human Rights, but this did not calm the anger of the opposition.
