Åbbårbua sometimes referred to as the Mining town of Åbbårbua is the Kingdom of Alesaker main income of both freshwater fish, copper and cloudberries.

The Town was formed on 3 August 2021 during a visit both by Generalkrigskommisær and his Majesty with a soldier. The visit was around a lake and the territory surrounding the cabin, which was discovered to have cloudberries, freshwater fish and a possible mining place for Copper.

Etymology

The name Åbbårbua translates for two different things Åbbår meaning Perch in Middle-Norwegian dialect, and bua for a small building to keep fish or meat fresh, often used for a cabin in the woods or by a lake. Åbbårbua translates literally to ''Perch-storehouse''

History

Åbbårbua's history can be first dated back to 1644 when the Røros Copper Works when around the year 1644 reindeer hunter and mountain farmer Hans Olsen Aasen discovered something shining on stones behind a mountain while looking for reindeer to hunt. He would show this to Lorentz Lossius who saw the opportunity to start a mining business in this. Lorentz together with priests of the local towns. Began to spread the word of Copper. The first attempt would be a complete failure but some months later would manage, together with the help of former German miners, which helped the farmers properly mine Copper. The Copper would be extracted from everywhere surrounding the town Røros where the office was, this Includes the area Femunden where Åbbårbua is located. Though there were many attempts at establishing mining areas around the Femunden first in 1739 there would be a very successful one. Called for Femundshytta which translates simply to ''Femund's cabin'' the crew of the cabin would take copper from every place they could find it since the crew was made out of local farmers who lived there. In 1647, three years after copper was discovered in Røros, the company was given privilege from the Danish-Norwegian king Christian IV to do whatever they please within 90 kilometers from Røros as a circle, this included Åbbårbua which would be both chopped wood and searched for copper by both the nearby farm Nordvika and the mining cabin Femunden. The coat of arms of Åbbårbua today has a reference to the searching of copper in Åbbårbua with the black grouse standing on a red field representing the waste after the copper searching which would include smelting copper then throwing it to the closest place whether it be on a meadow or a dried river. Femundshytta would last from 1739 till 1829 when they couldn't find any more copper underneath the ground or in nearby caves. There are rumors of the miners at Femundshytta hiding copper for the next generation, realizing that they would become poorer without a proper job. The town was officially founded on 3 August 2021 with plans of establishing it already from the first weeks of the Kingdom of Alesaker established. The first settlement exploration also included exploring the islets in Lake Femund. Which most was doomed unit uninhabitable with the expectation of three small islets.

Government

The Bergmester which is the leader of Åbbårbua also functions as Commander of both the mercenary boats at both the small lake Åbbårtjønna and also Commander of the Mercenary boats in Lake Femunden. The Bergmester also works as Director of the Åbbårbua Copper Works, Commander of a small fortress close to the Townhall, and Representative in the Riksråd.

The right hand of the Bergmester is called an Obereinfahrer, while the lower right hand is called an Einfahrer. Both are german names for being the leader of a cabin/part of the Mining Works seen in both Røros and Saxony.

Districts of the Town

Due to the small population in Åbbårbua there are no representatives nor real signs of the districts however there are natural borders such as small streams, lakes, and small cliffs which function as ''borders'' for example the district border between Zirrveita and Vasshaugin is by both small streams and small meadows between the forests

The Town is split into three parts the biggest one is called Vasshaugin (literally water hill in the local dialect) where you can find the Vassbua Dock and thick birch forest.

The second biggest one is called Zirrveita where you can find the Zirrbu Fortress and the Åbbårbua Town Hall. The smallest one is called St. Barbarabrygga [1] where you can also find a dock, a nearby thick forest, and a swamp filled with cloudberries.

All of the districts of the town are split for their main use, such as the St. Barbarabrygga being mainly used for a meeting place and a dock, hence the district is called after the dock.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms includes a black grouse standing on a red field, the grouse is a reference to both the wildlife and that it is illegal to hunt black grouses inside of Åbbårbuan territory due it being the Mining town patriotic animal. The red field is a reference to miners searching for copper and smelting it only to throw the uselsss parts it to wherever they please whether it be in a lake or a meadow. The rest of the useless copper stones would still shine a red colour and can be seen to this day even in some places in Åbbbårbua specially in Zirrveita and Vasshaugin.
