Dekker is a Crown Dependency of the Empire of Austenasia situated in North America. An enclave of the American state of Texas comprised of the area of historically considered Dekkeran, Dekker was established as a Crown Dependency on 16 July 2015, after on 26 June 2015 Patrick-Dylan Knox initiated talks to have Dekker annexed. Knox was appointed Governing Commissioner of Dekker as it ascended into the Empire.

Although under Austenasian sovereignty, Dekker is a Crown Dependency, and so is neither taxed nor has representation in Parliament. The Emperor holds absolute power over the Crown Dependency, exercised on his behalf by the Governing Commissioner, with Austenasian legislation not applying to Dekker unless it explicitly refers to it.

History

Dekker as a micronational entity was originally founded in 2009 as the Co-Principality of Dekker. It became a member of the Domanglian Commonwealth (and even donated some of its land to Domanglia as the Domanglian region "Homested") in 2011, but left due to internal conflict. In 2012, Dekker joined the Fredomian Commonwealth, and after realizing the conflict of interest, departed. Dekker then aligned itself with Ultamiya, even joining the successor state Varina as a province. After falling into inactivity for a time, on 26 June 2015, Patrick-Dylan Knox offered Dekker to Austenasia. Dekker was annexed as a Crown Dependency of Austenasia on 16 July 2015 by the Dekker Act 2015.
