Timeria, officially the Senatorial Republic of Timeria (República Senatorial de Timeria), is an interterritorial Greco-Roman hellenist ecumenic cultural nation.


The cultural nation was known officialy as the "Timeria" since the foundation. The name was formed by using words of the Greek language: timé (honour) and -ria (place).


Early History

Timeria was founded on 22 May 2002 to recover, record and preserve Hellenistic cultural and religious traditions.

In the beginning Timeria was a blog about classical greco-roman culture, later became a micronation.

Old Timeria

The Kingdom of Timeria was founded at May 22 of 2002.

Hermenegildo I, also called Hermenegildo de Legouvé, was crowned King in the foundation. He emphasized the democracy and Senate.

A Senate in 2003 reclaimed democratic rights in reference to Constitution. Democratic rights had been referred to as regalia, but were enumerated for the first time in the Constitucion. In the first Constitution were enumerated the investiture, the senate seating and the micronational coining.

During the monarchy, Hermenegildo I facilitated money and a succesful settlement of lands.

The beginning of the Republic

In 2004, Timeria was transform to a republican form of state.

The Senatorial Republic of Timeria was proclaimed when Hermenegildo I renounced to crown following presidential elections in which socialist and anti-monarchist candidate, Wiew Wers, won the majority of votes, and timerian people celebrated the beginning of the Republic.

Fall of the Old Timeria

The increasingly apparent crumbling of the physical territories of Timeria it resulted in economic and political fall, coinciding with the economical crisis of 2008.

In september 2 of 2008, the Senate and the Government voted both itself and Timeria out of existence.

Identity theft

The traditionalist refounding

The traditionalist refounding was a cultural and political movement that spanned the period roughly from march 2013 to the march 2014, created for restore Timeria.

As a cultural movement, the traditionalist reform restore the religion and way of life, revolving around the Greek Gods, and embracing ancient hellenic values and virtues, establishing weekly public rituals and engaging in other aspects of practical promotion of polytheism like theater and music.

As a political movement, the traditional refounding contributed the development of micronationalist science, with the creation of the Timerian Academy. The political parties was focused in the reconstructionist activity, with early attempts to reconstruct the Senate adding practices that have survived from the roman senate.

The end of monarchist movement

The movement to restore the monarchy was dissolved on January 24 of 2015, and its members joined to the National Party, but some members of the disappeared Monarchist Party created the “Republic Autarchy and Order of Zeus” party, in spanish “Ray of Zeus”.

Integration in Orfalia

On October 7, Timeria was integrated in Orfalia, like Republic with self-government in Education, Culture and Sports.

Abandonment of Orfalia

On december 7, Timeria left Orfalia for differences in the micronationalism conception between both. Timeria is a Hellenistic pagan micronation, while Orfalia defends Christian Orthodox religious values. Also, Timeria defends Spanish as official language, but Orfalia defends English.

The Calendar is developed every year by the Collegium Pontificum, an official Hellenistic institution, according to lunar parameters but also with some dates based on the solar calendar.


The origins of Timerian art were very much influenced by grecorroman artists.

The center of cultural development is the Academy of Timeria.

The center to collect all documents is the Library of Timeria.

In 2003, the Timerian art was portrait miniature, with special reference in the "Portrait of Wers" by Artemio de Serralia.

Timerian artists developed neoclassicist style in 2014, the most important works in paint of this stage are "Victoria de Samotracia" and "Hipatia of Alexandria", by Artemio de Serralia.

One important literary work is “Andromeda and Hades”, by Titus Caelius Lupus, winner of the III Timerian Short Story Competition in 2016.

Other important literary work is “The abduction of Persephone”, by Aulus Julius Celer.


During the traditionalist refounding, Timerian philosophers produced works of environment of micronationalism, Wiew Wers theorized the principle of decay of the hierarchical spirit of the classical state, discarding copy the of archaic micronations models like Sealand. In his work Wers openly critized the Sealand derivation to an ordinary commercial enterprise, their lack of culture and her loss of micronational identity.

The official currency in Timeria is the Dinar of Timeria.

From January 2016, Timeria adopted its own economic system with the cryptocurrency Dinar. In the web site of the Bank of Timeria, citizens can access to a market where exchange products or services for dinars.

The Timerian Economic System works through the dinar, having an exchange rate with the US dollar. Dinar users can exchange dinars for gift cards from any online trading company such as Amazon or Apple.
