Paratus (/pʌrɒtɪs/), officially and formally the Republic of Paratus, and often referred to as the Maritime Republic of Paratus (MRP), is a micronation located in North America. It borders the United States through its 3 non-contiguous territories in the states of Maryland and Florida; the state also borders the Atlantic Ocean. Paratus is a federal presidential republic and a representative democracy with a unicameral legislature. The official language of Paratus is English. The capital and largest city is Portland. The state was founded on January 7, 2024.
