The Kingdom Of Miraguay is a Spanish speaking Semi-constitutional Monarchy, known as a micronation. Founded on 05 December 2019, the Republic claims the territory of the King's apartment. The Capital and Largest city is Mariposa.
Etymology
The name “Miraguay” is inspired by the Names Paraguay and Uruguay, which are countries in South America.
History
President/Governor Jacob Benitez founded the Republic of Miraguay and declared its sovereignty as a micronation from the United States Of America on 05 December 2019.
Federation of Salem-Miraguay
The federation of Salem-Miraguay was a proposed union state between Miraguay and the Pristine Kingdom of Salem, proposed by its former prime minister, CD. The federation was planned and in the works, and a referendum for if it should be formed even happened, but the idea never came to fruition due to president Jacob pulling out of the proposition. Salem later became a Subdivision of Terredepaix, more specifically a province, so the federation didn’t matter in the long run.
Annexation by Terredepaix
On October 16, 2022, Miraguay was annexed by the Kingdom and Territories of Terredepaix, and integrated into it as an autonomous province.
Annexation Treaty
Overview:
This treaty states that the Federated States of Miraguay will be integrated into the Kingdom and Territories of Terredepaix as an autonomous province of Terredepaix.
Article 1
Miraguay will become territory and, for the most part, politically integrated into Terredepaix.
Article 2
Miraguay will be autonomous under Terredepaix. This means that Miraguay will have its own elections, control itself, etc., but be administered under Terredepaix. The monarch of Terredepaix will become the head of state of Miraguay, and the prime minister of Terredepaix will become the head of government, along with the Governor of Miraguay.
Article 3
Miraguay can declare independence from Terredepaix at any time it chooses, but before it does, it is required to make a one weeks notice to the Terredepaixan parliament, and make a new treaty with Terredepaix declaring the secession.
Article 4
Miraguay, under its own laws and constitution, will also be under the Terredepaixan laws and the Terredepaixan constitution, and Miraguay will be protected under these items.
Article 5
Miraguayan citizens will become Terredepaixan citizens
Article 6
Miraguays discord server will receive protection from the Terredepaixan online defense forces.
Article 7
The leaders of both Terredepaix and Miraguay will be given the admin and mod roles in their respective discord servers.
Article 8
Miraguay’s president and Vice President will now be called the governor and lieutenant governor respectively.
Article 9
Miraguays legislature will now be called the Miraguayan Parliament.
Article 10
Terredepaix will be allowed to station troops in Miraguayan land if it so chooses.
Article 11
Terredepaixan and Miraguayan citizens will be let into each other’s respective borders freely.
Article 12
Miraguay will receive a member of parliament to represent them in the Terredepaixan parliament.
Independence from The Second Empire of Terredepaix
Although there was no treaty, Miraguay gained full Independence on February 18th, 2023
