The People's Republic of Danesland, formerly the Republic of Danesland, is a small micronation situated in the state of New York and a small section of Australia. Danesland is a memberstate of MUSC, the OAM and the MDS. Danesland has territories throughout the United States of America's east coast and Southern Australia.
Danesland is currently developing a stable notaphilic economy, with that being the top priority of the Prime Ministers Office, which handles the Treasury and Border Patrol and succession to the President. The government is also developing a postal system and online shop. Danesland is considered a 2.8 on the Dresner system of Classification or a Brick and Mortar 6th world nation.
Danesland's capital is Blythe, which is currently the home of James Thomson and three representatives in the Peoples Parliament.
Etymology
The name "Danesland" originated out of a conversation about food that eventually went out of context into the declaritive theory of statehood and eventually micronationalism. The name Danesland was conceived through that conversation and has been in place since the founding of Danesland, although name change has been brought up numorous times, it has never been seriously considered.
History
Establishment
The Kingdom of Jamesland was founded in late 2006 by James Thomson. The Kingdom was unaware of micronationalism and the Montevideo Convention, and just considered itself a small nation. The nation developed a wall of sticks, separating the United States and Jamesland, the remains can still be seen today, spreading out to about two feet.
Change of Government
The Government officially changed from a Social Democracy to a Socialist Republic. On January 26, 2011, when the People's Parliament had an emergency vote to switch to a Single Party Socialist Republic that ran under the Cuban System.
Civil War
The Peoples Republic was going through a small recession in Pyun where a rebel group attacked some members of the Danesland Defence Forces.
Politics
The government is classified as a Socialist State which operates similarly to the Cuban Government. The governments legistlative branch is run by the League of Communists of Danesland (also known as the Communist Party) Congress.

Military
The military is led by the DDF and DBP. The DDF handles all wars and acts as a police force. The DBP guards the Borders and guards parliament. It has fought in the Danesland Civil War and in the Danesland-Vinnyland War. They are currently working on Operation Protection Eagle, where they work with the Danesland Border Patrol to protect the border. They are also involved in many minor and sub operations.
Health Care
The Health Care of Danesland is socialized. It is relitivily good due to the lack of funding and training, and is mostly only helps head-aches cuts, bruises, and various other conditions, the rest of the healthcare is taken care of by the U.S. It currently has one small clinic in the capital city outfitted to handle a small amount of patients with cuts and bruises.
Economy
The economy is stable but the people in Pyun deal with low living standards, this is being handled by the Ministry of the Interior and other various government agencies. It has a GDP of US$30.00 or 3500ᵹ. The main import is lumber and water, and the main exports are blackberries, strawberries and corn. The economy nearly crashed in June 2009 due to low trade but was brought back up un a matter of months.
The government currently regulates all business' inside of Danesland, and all business' must be employee owned.
Internal Afffairs
The internal affairs of Danesland are relitivily stable with barely no government opposistion with the exception of the Supreme Republican Party, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to its inactivity and the government restrictions on the partie due to the aniti-Danesland stance and call for a civil war against the government, attempting to put a capitalist economy in place and a military dictatorship in place of the current system.

The Government is working on a series of projects to create a more self sufficient community, written below are the current projects, all are in the development stage.

- An online shop
- A miniature version of a house powered by a toy windmill
- A downloadable game that simulates the Danesland wilderness in the Mainland (release date should be in 2011 or 2012)
Demographics
The Office of the President is acts like a census bureau in Danesland and is in charge of the yearly census. The President's office reports that there is a population of 75 citizens as of September 9, 2010, with 20 citizens active in internal affairs and 0 unregistered citizens. Danesland has the ninth largest population according to MicroWiki sources, with the largest proven population belonging to New Europe. The Daneslandic People have a large ancestral background with 7 accounted for, the largest being English and the largest ethnic minority is Asian-American.
Language
English is the de facto language of Danesland, with German, French and Spanish spoken by many citizens. In 2010, 100% of the population spoke English as a first language. Danesland's government currently recognizes all languages spoken as real languages.
Culture
Music
The music in Danesland is mostly classical with classic rock and verious other genres listened to by the people
Literature
Karl Marx's works and various other works are popular with the majority of the population.
Sports
Javelin Throwing is a popular sport with soccer being the preferred sport. There is a national Javelin team with a soccer team being formed.
