Lukastan or officially Empire of Lukastan is a micronation located in the southern United States of America formed on July 2, 2019 with the signing of The Declaration of Unilateral Independence. Immediately following the independence Luka Howard was declared Emperor for Life. The legislative body of the empire is known as the Council of Ministers. It is headed by the Governor General and is made up of the 9 appointed ministers.
History
Formation
Lukastan was formed on July 2, 2019 with the signing of The Declaration of Unilateral Independence in the Imperial Residence`s grand hall. After this deceleration Luka Howard was declared Emperor of Lukastan.
Early Years
On July 23, 2019 the first Lukastanie embassy was officially opened by Emperor Luka in Honolulu Hawaii USA. Shawn Howard Duke of the Pacific was appointed Ambassador to the United States shortly before the opening of the embassy.
Government
Emperor
The position of Emperor of Lukastan was established after the signing of The Declaration of Unilateral Independence when Luka Howard was declared Emperor. The Emperor of Lukastan is the official head of the country. Law enacted by the Council of Ministers needs approval by the Emperor. Also, the Emperor as the ability to create laws with no approval needed. The spouse is known as the Empresses Consort. Emperor of Lukastan is an hereditary position and is passed down from one generation to the next. As defined in the Constitution of Lukastan Article 2 section X
The position of Emperor will be passed down from the current Emperor to his eldest son. If the eldest son died with no heir than the oldest living son will be heir. If no sons, than eldest daughter will get the title and will be duded Empresses. If the Emperor has no children then the title will go to his closet living relative.
Governor General
Governor General of Lukastan is a position appointed by the Emperor and is the head of the Council Of Ministers.
Council of Ministers
The Council of Ministers is the legislative body of Lukastan and is made up of 9 appointed ministers. Those being Foreign minister, Defense minister, Treasury minister, Minister of justice, Trade minister, Minister of the Environment, Athletics minister, Minister of Education, and Transport minister. The Council is headed by the Governor General. Any and all laws passed by the Council need approval from the Emperor.
Currency
The official currency of Lukastan is the Lukastanie Dollar. The Lukastanie dollar is pegged to the united states dollar at a rate of 1$ LAD to 1.26$ USD. The currency is minted by the Imperial Reserve of Lukastan.
Geography and Climate
Lukastan has a humid subtropical climate (Köppen Cfa) characterized by it hot and humid summers, rainy and mild springs and cool winters with little snow.
