Larwan, formally recognised as the Republic of Larwan, is a micronation claiming sovereignty over the region of the former, now defunct People's Larwani Republic. Situated in Central Europe (the government acknowledges the borders of the Socialist Bloc as the division between Eastern and Western Europe, disregarding the concept of Central Europe), Larwan asserts its distinct identity and territorial jurisdiction.

Etymology

The name Larwan, or its Slovak equivalent, Larvan, bears no intrinsic significance as it was arbitrarily selected long ago. However, the term "Republic" denotes a socio-political framework wherein only one class can subsist, and that class is the National Workers'.

History

Independence

On April 6th, 2024, the Marxist Revolutionary Mariyana K. declared a peaceful secession from Slovakia, citing the nation's deteriorating conditions and the likelihood of the election of a pro-Western president as primary reasons. This declaration prompted the automatic formation of the Secretariat, comprising individuals democratically elected by the populace, excluding the General Secretary. Additionally, it necessitated the drafting of a constitution to formalize the structure and governance of the newly established Larwan People's Socialist Republic.

First Government

Politburo Reform

On April 9th, 2024, a reform was formulated and signed to take effect on April 10th, 2024. This reform involves the replacement of the Secretariat with the Politburo, while retaining the Secretariat as a formal title for the General Secretary and the Secretary of the LSPR. Link to the Reform

Soviet Reform

On the 28th of April 2024, a reform was enacted within the LPSR, officially rechristening it as "The Larwani Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic." This incorporation into the Slovak Republic occurred with minimal intervention from the Slovak government, reflecting the protest of the Workers and Peasants of Slovakia.

Second Government "Maoist Era"

Great Cultural Revolution

Merely four days following the Soviet Reform, a Cultural Revolution was instigated by Abu Mujahid Qasim, a revolutionary adherent of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism. His aim was to bring about a revolution and cleanse the revisionist, atheistic regime of Larwan under the WPPL. This revolution proved triumphant, with Abu M. Qasim assuming the position of Chairman of the Larwan People's Socialist Republic. He declared that the Cultural Revolution had just commenced and that the coup represented merely a preliminary stride within the vast Revolution poised to unfold.

Red Masses reform

The reform of the Red Masses aims to dismantle the structures of the former government, resulting in the abolition of positions such as the President of the Presidentium and the General Secretary of the LPSR, along with the replacement of the Red Army by the National Guard. Additionally, the reform nullifies the previous Soviet reform, considering it a mistake of the old regime. The Proletariat is granted the right to a Cultural Revolution should the Party fail to pursue the path towards Communism. Furthermore, the reform elevates Mao Zedong to the position of Generalissimo of the entire nation, acknowledging him as the patriarch of both the Party and the nation of Larwan.

Land Reform

The land reform comprises several key points. Firstly, according to Larwani law, the practice of owning land and then levying taxes on the people residing or working on that land (landlordism) is prohibited. This ensures that upon purchasing land or an apartment, you own it entirely, only necessitating payments for utilities to the Housing Syndicate. Secondly, individuals can request a complimentary living unit from the Housing Syndicate if they are unable to afford permanent accommodation. In such cases, no payments are required to the Housing Syndicate, as these designated living units are provided directly by the state or Central Federation of Syndicates. However, this provision is applicable only until individuals can independently provide for themselves, covering basic necessities such as a small living unit, food, and utilities.

Proclamation of the People's Republic

On the 5th of May 2024, at 17:20, the People's Republic of Larwan was officially proclaimed, marking a decisive departure from the practices of the previous government. This proclamation signified the formal adoption of the demonym "Larvani people" in place of "Slavs," alongside the discontinuation of Ukrainian as a recognized language. Additionally, measures were implemented to introduce a temporary virtual currency and to formulate governmental initiatives aimed at drafting a constitution and a legal framework for the nation's future.

Reform of the Ministries

As a result of the Great Cultural Revolution and the adoption of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism with distinct features, the traditional concept of Ministries lacks relevance within Larwan. Consequently, they are supplanted by a system of Worker's Syndicates. These syndicates operate under the umbrella of a Central Federation of Syndicates, which essentially constitutes the government. Each syndicate functions as a self-contained unit, akin to autonomous cells of workers operating within communes. They adhere to state-provided plans and objectives, collectively working towards their achievement.

Third Government "Inter-governmental Era"

May Coup

Just 5 days following the Proclamation of the People's Republic of Larwan, the NPL (Nationalist Party of Larwan), initiated an armed coup against the People's Republic. Their action stemmed from the perceived failure of the government to fulfill its promises regarding the establishment of a constitution, legal framework, and the adoption of a national currency. This coup marked the onset of an Inter-Governmental era in Larwan, during which the NPL sought to address and rectify the nation's challenges. Subsequently, a decision will be made regarding whether to revert to the Maoist principles or to retain the Enpeel government or elect an alternative leadership.

Three Principles of the People

  1. Nationalism
  2. Workers' rights
  3. Constitutional Revolution

Within the three principles of the people, nationalism, workers' rights (socialism), and constitutional revolution are integral components. Nationalism is evident, intertwined with socialism, creating a form of Socialist nationalism. However, this socialism would not adhere strictly to the hard-left ideology of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism. Instead, it would draw certain elements from these ideologies while retaining its distinct identity. The Constitutional Revolution, akin to a Cultural Revolution, is centered on transforming the government rather than merely installing new leadership. It aims to instigate systemic changes, reforming the structure and function of governance to better serve the interests of the people.

Parliamentary reform

After the succession of two governments, Larwan finally established a parliament comprising 20 official seats, marking a pivotal step towards the creation of a democratic nation. However, this reform did not come without its drawbacks. A military government was instituted, elevating Filip K. to the rank of Generallissimo and Chairman of the Nationalist Party of Larwan. Subsequently, the parliament swiftly renamed the nation as the Republic of Larwan.

Politics

Politburo

The Politburo constitutes a council comprising five ministers directly and democratically elected by the Proletariat, thereby establishing the Dictatorship of the Proletariat. This governance structure is tasked with vehemently suppressing enemies of the state, including counter-revolutionaries, reactionaries, capitalists, and imperialists. Consequently, individuals falling within these categories face severe consequences such as the revocation of citizenship if already granted, or denial of citizenship if not yet bestowed upon them.

Chairman of the Larvani Communist Party

The Chairman of the LCP holds the official leadership position in Larwan, acting as the sole de jure leader. However, the chairman also assumes the role of the national leader of the Central Federation of Syndicates. This authority enables the individual to assign tasks to specific syndicates, which can then be redistributed to other syndicates requiring assistance or work.

Proletariat

The Proletariat, constituting the workforce and labour force of the nation, enjoys numerous liberties and holds significant power within the Larwan People's Socialist Republic. They possess the authority to democratically oust any minister deemed unsuccessful through voting and voicing concerns about their performance. Furthermore, the Proletariat retains the right to voice the issues they encounter and offer suggestions on how to address them, thereby granting them extensive rights and influence within the nation's governance.

Working Class

The working class constitutes a vital segment of the Proletariat, encompassing non-militant civilians who contribute to the nation and its populace through their labour. They possess the ability to indirectly control the means of production by democratically electing and deposing Ministers within the Politburo, should the need arise. Importantly, the liberties of the working class remain unrestricted by the government or the state, fostering a robust and democratic Proletarian Nation.

National Guard

The National Guard comprises working-class citizens entrusted with safeguarding the revolution and the nation, dedicated to serving the revolutionary state rather than any particular government or class. While they remain integral members of the working class and the Proletariat, their responsibilities differ as they defend the entire revolutionary nation. Thus, despite their distinct tasks, they remain firmly rooted within the working class and the broader Proletariat.
