The Kingdom of Mdesk /mdɛsk/, officially the Imperial Kingdom of Mdesk Chdoinzarneina is a sovereign nation not recognised by any major nation or international organization and as a result, is often referred to as a micronation. The main territory is located on the Northern Edge of the Rocky Mountain Front Range at the western edge of the Colorado Eastern Plains, it is bordered by the United States of America on all sides. The country covers an area of 8172 km2 and had a population of 1,346,702. Mdesk is an absolute monarchy with H.E. Supreme King Daniel Y.A. Zang as the current reigning monarch. Fort Collins is the largest city and de facto capital with a population of 166,069. The actual capital is named Vrezakhiinaderzhcho, and is not a city but the territory of Larimer County, Colorado. The Kingdom's territory comprises of four disconnected territories, the Mdeskish Mainland and the Provinces of Kotthoqofazhskx, Dpkit, and Wyowa.
The nation was formed on April 18, 2022, initially under the name of "Federated Kingdom of Mdesk" as a funny project in St. Louis County, MO. The initial constitution was only 200 words, but it has been developed into a very serious nation under the leadership of Daniel Y.A. Zang, and the constitution has now been revised into a 12,000-word constitution which transformed the nation into what it is today.
Early History
At the time of the arrival of Europeans in the early 19th century, the present-day Kingdom was occupied by Native Americans, with the Utes occupying the mountainous areas and the Cheyenne and Arapaho living on the piedmont areas along the base of the foothills. French fur trappers infiltrated the area in the early decades of the 19th century, soon after the area became part of the United States with the Louisiana Purchase and was organized as part of the Missouri Territory. In 1828 William H. Ashley ascended the Cache la Poudre River on his way to the Green River in present-day Utah. The river received its name in the middle 1830s from an obscure incident in which French-speaking trappers hid gunpowder along its banks, near present-day Laporte or Bellvue. In 1848 a group of Cherokee crossed through the county following the North Fork of the Poudre to the Laramie Plains on their way to California along a route that became known as the Cherokee Trail.
The area of the kingdom was officially opened to white settlement following negotiations with the Cheyenne and Arapaho in the 1858 Treaty of Fort Laramie, by which time the area was part of the Nebraska Territory. The first U.S. settlers arrived that same year in a party led by Antoine Janis from Fort Laramie. Janis, who had visited the area near Bellvue in 1844 and proclaimed it "the most beautiful place on earth", returned to file his official claim and helped found the first U.S. settlement in the present-day Kingdom, called Colona, just west of Laporte. Nearly simultaneously, Mariano Medina established Fort Namaqua along the Big Thompson River just west of present-day Loveland. The first irrigation canals were established along the Poudre in the 1860s.
In 1862 the settlement established by Janis became a stagecoach stop along the Overland Stage Route which was established because of threats of attacks from Native Americans on the northern trails in Wyoming. In 1861, Laporte was designated as the first county seat after the organization of the Colorado Territory. In 1862, the United States Army established an outpost near Laporte that was designated as Camp Collins. A devastating flood in June 1864 wiped out the outpost, forcing the Army to seek a better location. At the urging of Joseph Mason, who had settled along the Poudre in 1860, the Army relocated its post downstream adjacent to Mason's land along the Overland stage route. The site of the new post became the nucleus of the town of Fort Collins, incorporated in 1873 after the withdrawal of the Army. By that time, Mason and others had convinced the Colorado Territorial Legislature to designate the new town as the county seat. In 1870, the legislature designated Fort Collins as the location of the state agricultural college (later Colorado State University), although the institution would exist only on paper for another 9 years while local residents sought money to construct the first campus buildings. In 1873, Robert A. Cameron and other members of the Greeley Colony established the Fort Collins Agricultural Colony, which greatly expanded the grid plan and population of Fort Collins.
Mdeskish Control
On April 18, 2022, after the event known as the "April Uprising", The Kingdom was initially formed as a funny Project by Daniel Y.A. Zang and Lucas "Unique" Matthew Neils, and an initial Constitution of 200 words was Drafted, but in June, Daniel Y.A. Zang decided to take it a bit further and established a social media and MicroWiki Account, which lead to the discovery of the micronational community, this lead to Supreme King Daniel Y.A. Zang to draft a new constitution, which is 17,279 words, to firmly establish the present governmental system. The Kingdom Subsequently joined 2 micronation conventions/organizations and started diplomatic relations.
Topography
The Kingdom of Mdesk has an area of 1,346,702 km2, making it the 163rd biggest country in the world by area. Most of the population is located on the western edge of the Colorado Eastern Plain and the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers. Still, the majority of the land is mountainous and is located on the Rocky Mountain Front Range.
Several valleys are also found in the kingdom created by the la Poudre and Big Thompson Rivers. The highest point of the kingdom is Hagues Peak which rises up to 4,137 meters above sea level.
The lowest point of the kingdom is Found in the Province of Kotthoqofazhskx, on the Mississippi River.
Climate
In the Kingdom of Mdesk, a majority of the land is a sub-arctic climate, but the most populated area experiences a humid continental climate. There is fairly low precipitation in the capital, but the Province of Kotthoqofazhskx experiences a more than moderate amount of rainfall.
Government
The Kingdom of Mdesk is a Unitary Absolute Monarchy. The Supreme King/Queen is the head of State and holds supreme executive and legislative power in the Kingdom. The Supreme Monarch has a cabinet, comprised of a Prime Minister, and the heads of the 19 royal executive departments, which are appointed by the Supreme Monarch. The cabinet is purely advisory.
The judicature is made up of one High Court.
Foreign Relations
The Kingdom has Diplomatic Relations with the Free Nation of New Athens, the Empire of Pabistan, and the Hellenistic Empire of Cinbrun. The kingdom's ally is the Marquisate de Odieval. The Kingdom is Part of the League of Independent Nations and is Considering joining the Cupertino Alliance. The Kingdom Recognises all UN Recognised nations except the PRC. The kingdom also Recognises Taiwan, the Sahwari Arab Democratic Republic, and Kosovo.
Administrative divisions
The Capital, Vrezakhiinaderzhcho, is Controlled Directly by the Supreme King, The Other Piece of territory, the Province of Kotthoqofazhskx is the Only partially Self-Governing part of the Kingdom. The Province is Governed by the Provincial King who is Appointed by the Supreme King, the provincial King holds his title for life. The Provincial King can make laws, but they must be reviewed by the Supreme King.
Languages
Most Mdeskish People speak English, although German and Swedish are also Official Languages. the Mdeskish Language is a Constructed Language mainly Spoken by the Royal Family that actually Predates the Kingdom of Mdesk, it was invented on January 24, 2022, by Daniel Y.A. Zang, and Today, Mdeskish Invention Day is celebrated on January 24.
