The Kramerkolonie Putsch (Ridgelantic: Kramerkolonie Puʧ), also known as the Ridgelantic Rebellion by its proponents, was a failed coup d'etat by Drew Tucker in Kramerkolonie, Ridgeland, lasting from 24–25 October 2023. Organized by Drew Tucker, the former Minister of Defense of the Sovereign State of Ridgeland, it took place in the midst of the 2023 Ridgelantic political crisis. Tucker had been previously removed from the Ministry of Defense on 19 October 2023. Declaring the removal was illegal, he attempted the forced resignation of President Forest C. F.

Background

Drew Tucker was removed from the Ridgelantic Ministry of Defense on 19 October 2023 for disputes with President Forest C. F., mostly involving Tucker's political opinions. According to the Ridgelantic administration, he had made multiple 'racially motivated' comments and had 'insulted Ridgelantic culture'. Tucker rejected these claims, declaring that his removal from the government was illegal and that the cabinet therefore had the right to depose the President of the Sovereign State of Ridgeland.

Chronology

24 October

Example of vandalism on the page Draft:Sovereign State of Ridgeland

After Tucker was fired from his position as Minister of Defense, he had planned to overthrow the entirety of the government and install himself as President, unless he was reinstated as Minister of Defense reinstated. The first signs of rebellion began on 24 October 2023 with vandalism of the draft page for the Sovereign State of Ridgeland on MicroWiki[1], where he later declared the Ridgelantic Rebellion[2]. According to testimony by Tucker, the plan involved forcing the resignation of President Forest C. F. through a self-written bill disguised as a bill to restore Tucker to power as Minister of Defense.

25 October

Attempting to sway him to his side, Tucker told Gage Coley, leader of the Conservative Party, that "Ferrell is a complete tyrant," and that "he controls everything in all of Ridgeland." He told Ferrell that he would overthrow his government over Snapchat, but this message was left unread. Ferrell only learned about the coup when Dominic R. informed him that Drew Tucker had orchestrated a plan to overthrow the Ridgelantic . He was certain about the attack when Tucker displayed the folded up resignation paper.

Tucker spotted Ferrell and was going to coup him and Ferrell knew his plan and inquired about Dominic R's testimony, he then claimed that he didn't know a Dominic. Ferrell doubted this and told him that he had an evil plan, Tucker knew he did but asked Ferrell what it was and Ferrell responded. He then had him sign the handwritten paper which Ferrell stabbed with the provided pencil. Tucker tried to make him sign it again but failed and eventually after Ferrell confronted him.

Immediate aftermath

The Ridgelantic federal government began an investigation into the events leading up to the Putsch, theorizing about the possibility of multiple proponents. Joseph Clark and Landon Vongkhamchanh would both be briefly investigated, before both were proven innocent.

Legacy

Tucker failed to then reform the Conservative Party into the Democratic Opposition, causing a split in the Conservative Party which Tucker is refusing to seek a resolution to. However, he would later negotiate for the foundation of the Ministry of Citizenship. Dominic R., who played a major role in the conflict as an informant, was later made Minister of Defense. Tucker was defeated in the upcoming election which resulted in the founding of Tukundy.
