Joseph Andrew Tucker (b. 17 March 2009) is the Governor of Tukundy, an autonomy within the Sovereign State of Ridgeland. He ran in the 2023 Ridgelantic federal election as the candidate for the Democratic Opposition. He also served as Minister of Defense until his firing by Forest Ferrell.

Early life and education

Drew Tucker was born in Gastonia, North Carolina on 17 March 2009, he had been given at birth a near 100% mortality rate and two markers for Down syndrome. It turned out that Tucker did not have Down syndrome, and survived the hospital room, which his family described as a miracle. He became fluent in English at an early age and went to Gaston Christian School at the age of four, where he attended from Pre-K through kindergarten. He went to First Wesleyan Christian School first through fifth grade, and then on to Gaston Day School for two years. He is currently a eight grader at Cramerton Middle School and hopes they can better accommodate to his Asperger syndrome.

TX Republic

The TX Clan was founded in 2016 by Cristius Vail. Tucker joined the clan and after Vail abandoned his leadership role Tucker stepped up to become leader. He got a little too carried away though and became President of the TX Republic. Writing a Constitution and nearly founded it as a micronation but decided not to and eventually he was deposed via a TX Court, being convicted of multiple extreme felonies. The clan was eventually dissolved half a day later and multiple attempts to bring it back under the Parisian Declaration have failed.

Entry into Ridgelantic politics

Minister of Defense

During the 2023 Oakland-Lemakon War after the Oaklandic mainland came under Lemakonian occupation, Drew Tucker was hired as the Minister of Defense, playing an important role in the conflict, such as being a military strategist for the Sovereign State of Ridgeland, and closing the digital Oaklandic embassy. Months later, Tucker was removed from the Department of Defense after multiple arguments between Forest C. F. and him.

Rebellion in Kramerkolonie

After being fired from the Department of Defense due to heated debates and arguments with Forest C. F., Tucker, a Ridgelantic politician, attempted to organize a rebellion in Ridgeland with the goal of restoring his power, claiming the removal from the government was illegal. Tucker had edited the MicroWiki draft article for the Sovereign State of Ridgeland, including a self-designed flag for what he called "Ridgelantic Rebellion."

On 25 October 2023, Ridgelantic intelligence eventually leaked a reported plan for a coup d'etat, resulting in a confrontation between Forest C. F. and Tucker, with Tucker providing a self-written bill that would have reinstated his power as minister. Forest C. F. had destroyed the bill using a pencil Tucker had provided him, and once again engaged in heated argument before Tucker eventually backed down and tore the remnants of the bill into pieces, and peacefully reconciled. Tucker would eventually reform the Conservative Party into the Democratic Opposition after a now-disputed agreement with Gage Coley, who led the party at the time.

2023 Ridgelantic Campaign

Tucker ran for President of Ridgeland where he won 28.5% of the vote, coming in second place to Forest C.F. and Audrey Howell. Debates had been scheduled for four days after the results came out. and Tucker questioned the legality of the poll closing. Eventually they agreed to annex his community in Gastonia, of which Tucker would become governor.

Governor of the Autonomy of Tukundy

He became governor on 13 November 2023. He took the oath of office on Sovereignty Day. He gave his speech on the importance of Sovereignty Day and a strive for glory. He made a flag for Tukundy and a Coat of Arms as well. He is planning a visit to Belgrade, Serbia for Spring or Summer. He developed many cultural symbols for Ridgeland, such as Þe Cavmann, Þe Tukuntik, Þe Papi Sandwich, and Ginger Ale. He served in the Ridgelantic Armed Forces during The Emergency helping with raiding the USR Discord Server. However, he swore an oath to become a citizen in order to do the raid, however he renounced his citizenship on 30 January 2024. The reason for this is he said he forgot about the fact that he was a citizen. Since the war Tucker has made speeches and took steps towards macronationality. On 11 March, 2024, Tucker flew the Ridgelantic and Serbian flags on his desk at half mast to commemorate the death of Slobodan Milosevic believing false play in his death.

Personal life

Religion

Tucker is a devout Orthodox Christian, but switched between Pentecostal and Church of God multiple times earlier in life. Tucker initially debated and defended the Orthodox faith. He does prostrations, daily prayers to Jesus and Theotokos, and the Jesus prayer. He plans to officially convert to the Serbian Orthodox Church once he is in college.

Controversies

Tucker has been involved in multiple political controversies. In April 2024, Ridgelantic politician Max Livert, a political opponent to the Democratic Opposition, accused Tucker of using harsh derogatory language and racial epithets. According to Tucker, Livert attempted to obtain audio recordings of him saying racial slurs[2].
