His Excellency Henry Larsson is a politician in the Imperial State of Econia and incumbent People's Minister since November 7th 2023 when he became the first person to be appointed to the office. Since 1 November 2023 he also serves as the Leader of the Liberal Party which he led during the 2023 Riksting Elections winning 6 seats. His party ultimately became kingmaker during the Government formations that followed and he chose to govern with the right wing Conservative-Democratic Coalition.
Micronational career
Henry was in late 2022 offered a seat at the Econian Constitutional Convention at which the nations constitution would be drafted. He would however decline as he saw the idea of micronationalism as childish. However shortly before the nation declared indepence he contacted Octavian and asked if he still could get to be part of the project. He was granted premission to form one of the nations first parties not long thereafter. In the lead up to the election he campaigned on being a representitive for all regardless of wether they would vote for the Socialist, Conservative, Green, Democratic or Liberal Party. He also promised to protect the individual rights of citizens and create a framework for how future governments should operate. The election resulted in his party, the Liberal Union, winning 6 seats. Due to the fact that neither of the 2 coalitions that had been formed (Green-Socialist and Conservative-Democratic) won a majority Henry was expected to become a kingmaker.
During the audiences and meetings with Octavian I that followed the Democratic and Conservative parties offered to make Henry People´s Minister if they could be granted key ministerial posts and huge influence over government policy. Henry, after getting similar demands from the Socialists and Greens, approved this. On the 7th of November 2023 he was appointed the first ever People´s Minister. The next day during the 2023 Riksting Opening Ceremony his government was sworn in. During the speech from the Imperial Throne during said ceremony the governments first priorites were layed out. These were heavely influenced by the Democratic Party.
