The Goat Republic also known as Banana Republic, was a rebel group In Southeast Michigan, it was known for being actively against the Republic of New York as well as having participated in the Woodland War. The Republic of New York deemed the Goat Republic a terrorist organization as it was known for conducting attacks in the capital region.
History
2022
Founding
The founding of the Goat Republic was on 27 November 2022 when they broke away from the Republic of New York and completely opposed its formation. The leader of this group was Elijah Noah, their goal was to overthrow the Republic of New York government and capture key government officials. They also wanted to take over the entire country and implement their own governing system.
Early Era
The early era involved recruiting people to be against the Republic of New York, they gained 2 people in total. They also started coordinating civil- unrest and sparking the short-lived London Republic Uprising which lasted 2 days. Though the rebellion back by them was short-lived as the president created a peace treaty and convinced to rebels to join his side and unite, it gave the leader of the Goat Republic an idea. Shortly after the uprising ended a dispute over North Warren began and would later result in the Woodland Wars.
January Crisis
The January Crisis was a time when the Goat Republic swayed a former Republic of New York member to join their side. This would result in tensions between the Republic of New York and the Goat Republic would have a cold war that lasted until May 2023. They continued efforts the convince more people which results in the Republic of New York forming an army to defend against them.
Woodland Wars
The Woodland Wars was a war fought for about 1 week in North Warren, during this time they convinced 15 people to join their side and tried to overthrow and topple the Republic of New York. The conflict started on May 3rd when the Goat Republic Leader declared war on the Republic of New York and seceded. The Republic of New York prepared defenses and defended from the attacks on the capital. The conflict would result in a skirmish in a field outside of the President's school and neither side had any casualties. In just two days their members went down to 4 people with New York Armed Forces (NYAF) capturing most of their members and persuading them to switch back sides. The conflict officially ended on 8 May 2023 with an overall Republic of New York victory with them taking back territory lost to the Banana Republic. The Republic of New York couldn't push into their capital however so the Banana Republic still existed but in a weaker form.
Current Era
The Banana Republic has been considerably weakened from the Woodland Wars but is still actively against the Republic of New York. Their leader is still Elijah Noah and still has a presence throughout the capital Northwest Warren. The Republic of New York still deems them as a major threat as the group is not dissolved and continues its efforts in gathering support. Recently the group has ceased activity and entered into a period of inactivity, with no attacks or campaigns to gather support since July 2023.
The Goat Republic officially collapsed on the 5th of September 2023 after it lost interest in fighting against the Republic of New York. It has since then been reincorporated and peace has been secured.
