The Flood Impact Measurement System is a system of measuring floods in the Twelvist Kapan of Arbores, developed by the Arbores Weather Agency. FIMS is Arbores-centralised, therefore certain measurements may not work in other areas. It is managed by the Arbores Disaster Department in cooperation with the Arbores Weather Agency.

History

FIMS was created on 9 January 2024. Since it's inception, it has not been used.

When used

FIMS is usually called into action when the Arbores Disaster Department is sent out for an expedition to survey severe weather and minor flooding in accordance with the Weather Expedition Protocol. After that, if it is used and if flooding is detected, it is put into a FIMS impact level.

FIMS impact levels

ReFIMS

On 26 May 2024, during heavy rain in Arbores, it was decided that the FIMS was too extreme in possible rainfall. Thus, Xander Mintz refined it into the Refined Flood Impact Measurement System. The WEP was also updated in accordance with ReFIMS.
