The Arbores Weather Agency, abbreviated as AWA is a federal agency of the Twelvist Kapan of Arbores. It is headquartered in The Primadomus, the largest column of Arbores. It is run by the current chairman, Xander Mintz, and owned by the Government of Arbores. It has one subsidiary, the Arboric Emergency Warning System Management.
The AWA is tasked with providing weather updates to Arbores, urgent information through non-AEWS broadcast interruptions, and owning the AEWSM as well as giving command to the AEWSM to issue an alert.
Responsibilities
The AWA is responsible for serving Arboric citizens regarding updates relating to the weather. It also gives direct command to the Arboric Emergency Warning System Management to warn Arbores of a threatening situation related to weather.
History
Early history
The Arbores Weather Agency was formed on the same day of the founding of Arbores, 9 April. This is due to paranoia caused by a tornado watch that was issued by the American National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac.
Arboric Emergency … Management split
On 20 October 2023, the Arboric Emergency Warning System Management split off from the Arbores Weather Agency while remaining a subsidiary of the agency.
Workshop
The A. W. A. Workshop is an account on a computer running Windows 8.1. The workshop is used to make and disseminate products from the AWA. The computer previously ran Windows 8, but upgraded to fit Microsoft Visual C++ 2019 Runtime.
When the workshop can't be used, any other device belonging to Xander is used.
