Flag of Corollia is the main national symbol of Corollia. The current flag was adopted on February 3, 2022.[1]

History

First flag of Corollia

In November, 2019, Duke Elijah adopted the first flag of Corollia.[2] It consisted of three vertical stripes in different shades of blue. Some criticized it for the lack of symbolism, and Elijah planned to add a center piece to the flag.

In November, 2020 an updated concept of the flag was created. It now had two blue vertical stripes on the sides and and a vertical white stripe in the middle. A gold crown was now serving as a center piece.[3]

Second flag of Corollia

In the beginning of 2022, Elijah was working on the new coat of arms for Corollia. In the process, he created Corollian heraldic crown. Previously, the British crown was used on both flag and coat of arms of Corollia. On February 3, 2022 Elijah adopted a new flag, now featuring a Corollian heraldic crown in the center.[4]

Usage

The flag is used practically for all purposes on land. It is depicted on documents, signed with foreign powers (for national documents, coat of arms is usually used).

Symbolism

Blue and white has always been the national colours of Corollia, symbolising it's main principles: Freedom and Peace. The crown in the center symbolises monarchy and the importance of the monarch in the state.
