Yurtism |
---|
Yurtism is an ideology partially created by Isaiah David. Derived from a joke in Yu-Xia, Yurtism (at its core) advocates for small communities of yurts that are connected with yurt connectors (an idea stolen from Corvin.)
Components
Capitalism
In Yurtism, the means of production are owned and regulated by private companies, while the government does not intervene in the economics (unless if it is regulating corporations or protecting the rights of workers). In addition, it believes in a so-called progressive tax system; however, low taxes are implemented for all economic classes. It also believes in the ownership of land and companies.
Climate change
Climate change is seen as a real threat to society, and as such should be combated by the government with carbon limits, plastic taxes, carbon fees, etc. Although it does not support destroying the economy in the name of the enviroment, Yurtism encourages incremental steps to combat climate change. In addition, it believes that it is fine to consume animals, so long as said animals have been raised in an animal-friendly enviroment.
Abortion
In Yurtism abortion would be illegal after the 1st trimester. The government would invest in Sex Ed for schools along with free condoms and birth control. It would also be highly discouraged to have sex before marriage but teens none the less would still be taught how to have protected sex. The government wouldn't fund any abortion clinics it would have to come from a private source.
Rights
Yurtists believe that the following are to be respected as basic rights:
- Freedom of speech
- Freedom of media
- Freedom of expression
- Freedom of movement
- Freedom of privacy
- Right to vote
- Right to own property
- Freedom of business
- Right to gather
- Freedom of religion
- Right to bear arms
- Right to quick and speedy trial
- Right to no unreasonable searches and seizures
- Freedom to a fair trial
Way of life
In Yurtism their would be Yurts connected to each other with Yurt connector for a cheaper option their could be a mix of tents and yurts. The yurts would be customized with many different things such as generator that would be used to power electronics, air conditioning, beds, heaters and computers. Each citizen would be able to customize their Yurt however they would like as long as it's safe.
