The Stig Oblast was a federal subject of the Tsarist Empire of Gishabrun, which at one point was merged with Kravat Oblast.
Etymology
The name "The Stig" refers to The Stig, an anonymous racecar driving instructor from the British television program "Top Gear".
History
On 16 July 2010, HIM Tsar Kuri I's friend Jeremy Clarksoon joined the Tsarist Empire of Gishabrun, and claimed his bedroom as The Stig Oblast. Since it was very geographically close to Kravat Oblast and Annina Kravat Oblast, it always had a very close relationship with these oblasts.
On the 9th of December, 2010, The Stig Oblast was formally absorbed into Kravat Oblast. The previous areas of the two oblasts becoming Communes with the same names as the former oblasts, with TH Jeremy Clarksoon becoming the first Mayor of the Commune of The Stig. The next day, the Commune of The Stig grew to include the whole property of TH Jeremy. Sometime in April 2011, the Commune of The Stig became its own oblast once again, under the name "The Stig Oblast" and the Ambassadorship of TRH Jeremy Clarksoon.
The Stig Oblast was returned to Canadian sovereignty on 9 November 2011, as a result of its citizen's expulsion due to inactivity.
Geography
The climate of what was The Stig Oblast is continental (but modified by the nearby river with the Lake Effect), meaning it has an average of 9.5 degrees Celsius, with 133.1 cm of snowfall each winter and 834 mm of precipitation year-round. The area of The Stig Oblast is close the edge of a small valley, and has a grassy area right nearby. The Stig Oblast contained the residence of TRH Jeremy Clarksoon, and was surrounded by Canada on all sides.
