The Seneschal of Straithearn (French: la Seneschal de la Ruisseau de Hèrne) is the head of state of the Laskaridian province of Straithearn. The officeholder is considered the personal representative of the monarch within the province, thus the powers of the Seneschal are purely ceremonial, often comparative to a Governor of a Commonwealth realm. The Seneschal may also confer awards of the province to citizens of the province and outsiders, a privilege that civil servants of the province do not have.
