Sambrinia (/sæmˈbrɪniə/), formally the Republic of Sambrinia (Tagalog: Republika ng Sambrinia), is a Southeast asian micronation located in the Philippines. It claims around 1.27 square kilometers and it is divided into four provinces; Vorca, Fachaush, Cornia, and Hellandia. It has a population of 77 people.
The First Republic of Sambrinia started on December 14, 2022 to August 14, 2023, the Britannic Protectorate started on August 14, 2023 to December 27, 2023 — and the Second Republic started from December 27, 2023 to the present day.
Etymology
Sambrinia was first used in the popular politics and country game, NationStates — back in 2019. When Hoodie first entered micronationalism, he created Sambrinia, which was derived from the first use which was in NationStates.
History
Sambrinia was created on the 14th of December, 2022. It was created by Hoodie since he had recently joined micronationalism. He proclaimed two boys, and one girl as the Princes and Princesses of Sambrinia which were Sebbog, Mrgrrte, and Julliane. Sambrinia was started as an independent republic with its own monarchy system, gaining the title of the "Republic of Sambrinia". It claimed 0.432km² and was a united state with no provinces. But later on, Hoodie created borders for the three provinces of Vorca, Fachaush, and Kackashuto — which were the three key provinces of the Republic of Sambrinia.
On the March of 2023 (no specific date), Sambrinia was very inactive and not doing quite well. That was when Mackensen Edwardia (King of the Imperial Federation, a mock-gov) sent a message to the first server of Sambrinia (which was later deleted, but logged and archived by Hoodie) where he stated: "Shall we start the crown protectorate procession?", and Hoodie had thought that it was a question referring that he would get a special role in the Imperial Federation. But what Hoodie didn't know was that Sambrinia was about to be a protectorate under the Imperial Federation.
On the May of 2023, two months after the crown protectorate happening, Hoodie had decided, along with pastasaladfan (who was the Prime Minister of Sambrinia back then) that Sambrinia would become a protectorate under the Imperial Federation.
On the 22nd of August, 2023 — Sambrinia was nuked by a former Administrator and exile, Hannah. Hoodie had been tricked by Hannah because she approached Hoodie and applied to become an admin. After a few days, she added a bot named Syndicate — who functioned like Xenon, and Hoodie was tricked into giving it high permissions, which gave Hannah the permission to run a command and destroy the whole server. Luckily, after a few days of rebuilding, Sambrinia was back to its normal state afterwards. Not only was the new server Sambrinia nuked, but it's old server was also nuked.
Sambrinians voted on a brand new system of government where the Head of State was King Hoodie I, and the Prime Minister would be PM Ryuu Hoshoni where the Prime Minister would be elected ever 4 months. This was referred to as the "Westminster System" which was later happily pleased to hear by the Imperial Federation and Rudharta, an ally of Sambrinia. Sambrinia later expanded into four provinces, Vorca, Fachaush, Cornia, and Hellandia — which are the four present provinces to this day.
Politics and government
Sambrinia is a unitary parliamentary republic with an executive presidency, where the President is the Head of State and Head of Government. The [[Parliament of Sambrinia]] is the legislature of the Republic, and is led by a Parliament President, who are elected by the members. The President, Parliament, and all government officials are elected every four months.
Executive Branch
The executive branch consists of the President, the Vice President, the Cabinet, and the Commissions.
The President is the Head of State and the Head of Government, as well as the Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Sambrinia.
The Vice President is selected and appointed by the President. They supervise the Parliament of Sambrinia, and assists the President of Sambrinia in their time of absence or unavailability. According to the Constitution, they are the successor of the President if the President of Sambrinia exits their office during their term. The Vice President will serve the rest of their term, but however can run again for President at their aspiration.
The Cabinet of Sambrinia is selected and appointed by the President, with the duty of ensuring the Departments are organized, and to assist with other executive commissions. They usually are assigned as secretaries, but Presidents may select them as general members, who do not sit in any secretariat, but can supervise and control all departments.
Elections
Elections in Sambrinia take place every four months, and there are four elections every four quarters of the year. The Prime Minister is elected through a popular vote system. The Prime Minister must select their running mate, who will then become their Deputy Prime Minister. After then, a period of 5-8 days is given to campaigning, and the 2 days for the rest is given to the ballot submissions. Once the Prime Minister is elected, they will deliver a victory speech, and form a government with the King of Sambrinia.
Elections in the Parliament of Sambrinia take place every four months aswell, and they are usually nominated by the people. A form would usually be submitted, where they can then put their nominations in. When there is not enough, or there is an exact number of Members of Parliament, those nominated individuals are automatically elected, and get to elect their Parliament President. However, when the members exceed more than 7 nominations, an election would be called, where the citizens would get to select only 6 nominations in the Parliament.
Geography
Sambrinia has a small, short, but unique geography unlike other micronations. Sambrinia is mainly urbanized and has industrial buildings and houses, unlike other micronations that are based in forests, deserts, undiscovered land, etc. Sambrinia has a huge heritage, with Hoodie's family raising plants to help make Sambrinia more presentable according to the family. However, Sambrinia has a cool, breezy, but sometimes tropical climate most of the time.

The population of Sambrinia consists of 74 citizens, with 18 recognized and discovered dogs, and 32 recognized and discovered cats.
