The Republic of Pocatello is a micronation located in southeast Idaho. Pocatello, Idaho use to be located within Fort Hall Reservation which was set aside on June 14, 1867. Chief Pocatello agreed to land cessions after an extended period of war with white invaders. The city of Pocatello is named after the Shoshone Ojibway leader chief Pocatello. The Saulteaux Ojibway leader chief Big Bear, lived in the southeast Idaho region in the 1860's. Fort Hall Reservation is much larger than white historians have written. It's east boundary extends almost to the Wyoming border. There is a discrepancy about Fort Hall Reservation's boundaries. Chief Rocky Boy was given land at Fort Hall Reservation in 1901.
