The Presidium of the Supreme Soviet is, in theory, the supreme authority of the Communist State. Elected by the members of the Supreme Soviet of the Communist Republic of Montimont, it is composed of a president, a first vice-president, two vice-presidents and three members. According to the 2022 Constitutions, the Praesidium exercised both the functions of collective head of state, permanently, and of legislative power between sessions of the Supreme Soviet, which were usually very short. The President of the Praesidium acted as the true Head of State of the Communist Republic of Montimont. In practice, the Politburo of the Communist Party of Montimont, all of whose members were also members of the Praesidium of the Supreme Soviet, was the real executive body of the Communist Republic of Montimont, the Supreme Soviet having only an advisory and ceremonial role.
