Presidential Elections in Nemkhavia are the only elections that are held simultaneously throughout the Federation currently, although de jure this is also true for the elections of the de facto inactive House of Representatives. Unlike many other nations, the President is voted in via universal suffrage, although the electoral procedure is slightly indirect in order to prevent candidates from more populous territories having a higher chance than those from less populous ones.

Voting system

Each territory organises the presidential election for themselves. The votes are then counted per state, and whichever candidate gets the highest amount of votes wins in said territory's election. This candidate then receives one federal vote. This means that each territory effectively gets one vote for President. This is also a useful safety measure against sockpuppeting, as this way, sockpuppeting has no advantages at all.
