John, Emperor of Lorentia, was an influential member of politics in the Ruislip Tetrarchy in the late 2000s and early 2010s. Before becoming emperor of Lorentia, he was a member of the Republic of Clubhausia, and was considered one of the 'big three' of the council, with the most power. He had a fascination with Italian history, and fashioned himself as a 'Reborn Mussolini' after declaring independence, leading to him using the title "Il Duce".
John was considered the kindest of the council, always willing to help others, as shown when he and Amelia felled the great tree to make a bench. However, worsening relations between John and Zoe led to him becoming more aggressive, preferring an expansionist policy.
After the Republic of Fizona declared independence from Clubhausia after a huge argument with John, he went into damage control. He decreed that the Republic of Clubhausia needed a strong leader for the time, proposing emergency powers and the position of chancellor for himself. When this vote failed, the death of Clubhausia followed. John declared Lorentia as an independent nation, backed with the support of many. They claimed the Clubhaus and forced Clubhausia out, causing the formation of the Clubhausia Exiled Goverment.
John made the first strike of the Great Ruislip War and focused on destroying Fizona, with systematic cleanups of the many warlord nations that declared independence from Clubhausia. This led many Warlords to work more with Fizona, who promised them autonomy once the war was over. Lorentia only worked once with Fizona, where the two put aside their differences to Ellie of Clubhausia rescue their mutual friend from the Rohan Horde. John's policy of wiping the past led to many Clubhausian and Warlord landmarks being destroyed.
John's knowledge of the StonePark telegram which brought Lytera into the war has under retrospect been considered interesting. Many historians believe the Telegram was forged, or that John had spies in the Fizonian government. He allowed the Lyteran's to enlist in his volunteer army, led by Amelia. He begrudgingly accepted the treaty at the football field after the sacking of the Clubhaus, but was the most eager to resume warfare. However, as the leaders went to separate highschools, the war never truly broke out again.
At the 2015 School Reunion, John was shocked to see Lytera being friendly to Fizona. In the year apart, with Fizona and Lytera's leaders attending the same school, the two had reconciled. With the Treaty of Bourne signed, ending the war with no gains for anyone, as everyone had to give up claims to the Stonefield region, John saw this as a betrayal, and in 2016 at the next meetup, attempted to attack Alex, blaming him. They lost, however, and with that, Lorentia collapsed. John's status is unknown after this, as he retired from micronationalism.
